Conclusion of the Contract Drafting and Claims Course

The Center for Legal Studies for Community Service at the Faculty of Law concluded the Contract Drafting and Claims Course, attended by Prof. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Osman Abdel-Qader, Director of the Center. The Center's administration thanked the course lecturers for their efforts in honing the trainees' skills in the principles and arts of drafting contracts and claims. The course featured lecturers from Dr. Khaled Gamal, Professor and Head of the Civil Law Department; Dr. Anwar Mutawa, Professor of Commercial Law; Dr. Counselor Osama Abdel-Azim, Counselor at the State Lawsuits Authority; and Dr. Ayman Bishri, Attorney at Cassation and Secretary of the North Assiut Bar Association. The Center's management announced the training courses it will hold during the next phase and the development of a practical program on legal drafting, comprising 30 training hours.

In conclusion, the Center's management expressed its gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the course and its successful outcome.

Dr. El-Minshawy commends Assiut University Law School (AUMT) team's victory in the International Commercial Arbitration Competition

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, commended the victory of the English Moot Court Team (AUMT) at the Faculty of Law in the sixth edition of the International Commercial Arbitration Competition (SCCA Arabic Moot), organized by the Saudi Commercial Arbitration Center. The team achieved sixth place among 154 teams representing 24 countries and also took second place among Egyptian universities in the Best Defense Memorandum competition for the defendant.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy emphasized that this achievement reflects the excellence of Law School students in international forums and their ability to compete strongly in the field of commercial arbitration, highlighting the efforts of the university administration and its various faculties in promoting and expanding student activity.

This achievement was under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Douib Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the University President; Dr. Ragab Al-Kahlawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aleem, Director of the English Language Program at the Faculty of Law; Dr. Abdel Ghaffar Abu Al-Ayoun, Deputy Director of the Program; and Professor Iyad Abdel Mawla, Teaching Assistant in the Civil Law Department and the team's academic supervisor.

Dr. Douib Saber also highlighted the importance of the Moot Court activity in English, which contributes to linking academic studies to the reality of the labor market. He emphasized the faculty's commitment to the participation of its students in various Arab and international forums with the aim of enhancing their legal experience and skills. He explained that the participating team competed against 154 teams from 24 countries and succeeded in achieving sixth place among participating universities and second place among Egyptian universities in the Best Defense Memorandum competition for the defendant.

The team consisted of students: Abdullah Imad El-Din, Alaa Essam, Abdul Karim Samir, Malak El-Khatib, Mohammed Diab, and Nada Emad, in addition to the research team: Ahmed Essam El-Din, Omar El-Gendy, and Hanan Hassan, with the participation of trainers: Omar El-Kashef, Abdul Rahman Aseel, and Nisreen Mahmoud.

Women have also proven their ability to fight for a society where human dignity is respected and opportunities are equal. In every step toward justice and in every effort to build a better future, the clear imprint of Egyptian women is evident.

On March 9th of each year, we celebrate "Martyr's Day," honoring the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for our beloved country, Egypt. Their sacrifices reflected the greatest values ​​of loyalty and courage to establish security and stability. They shed their pure blood for the sake of the nation's advancement, and history has immortalized them, and their names remain etched in the nation's memory as symbols of sacrifice and devotion.

The sacrifices of the martyrs will continue to inspire future generations, and their contributions will remain a beacon illuminating the path to the future. Egypt will remain strong with its sons, protected by God's care, and prosperous with the determination of its people and its wise leadership.

On the glorious anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victory, the Faculty of Law at Assiut University extends its deepest respect, appreciation, and sincere congratulations to our armed forces, the Egyptian people, and the souls of our righteous martyrs, whose names are immortalized in Egyptian history.

Dr. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, emphasized that on this great day, we remember with pride, honor, and gratitude the sacrifices and bravery of our soldiers in defending and reclaiming our homeland. These heroes achieved a victory that restored the dignity of Egypt and the Arab world and established a balance of power in the region.
