Workshop on preparing the new strategic plan for the Faculty of Engineering 2024-2029

Prof. Dr. Ezzat Abdel Moneim Marghany, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, attended a workshop on preparing the new strategic plan for the Faculty of Engineering 2024-2029, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in the Education Development Center Hall, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nabil Yass Abdel Shafi, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ali Youssef, Head of the Department of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim Nael, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Gamal Yahya Baghdadi, Head of the Department of Mining and Metallurgy Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Basset Abdo, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and a group of faculty members, assistants, employees and students at the faculty.

In the framework of the keenness of the Faculty of Engineering Administration at Assiut University to involve those with experience and the desire of its administration to benefit from external expertise, which is highly appreciated and respected, the Faculty invited the following guests to attend the workshop:

The kind invitation came from the College of Engineering with the aim of enhancing mutual cooperation between the two parties.

The meeting discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two sides through opening new areas of cooperation and exchanging experiences and skills.

The delegation was accompanied on an inspection tour of the Faculty of Engineering by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed El-Sherif, Head of the Department of Mechanical Design and Production Engineering, Dr. Mahmoud Hashem Ahmed Abdel Ghaffar, Assistant Professor of the Department of Mechanical Design and Production Engineering and General Supervisor of the Workshops, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Basset Abdo Mohamed, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dr. Gamal Yahya Baghdadi Shoaib, Head of the Department of Mining and Metallurgy Engineering, and a number of faculty members. The visit included inspecting the departments, workshops, and laboratories of the faculty, and visiting the Rapid Modeling Laboratory in the Department of Mechanics, the workshops of the Faculty of Engineering, the Raw Materials Evaluation Laboratory in the Department of Mining and Metallurgy, and the Testing Laboratories in the Civil Department. The delegation expressed its admiration for the faculty and its academic and research activities, which provide the latest educational systems that keep pace with the successive development in engineering sciences and the needs of the labor market in the engineering field.
