Assiut education students eradicate illiteracy of 2746 individuals in various centers during the year 2019

Prof. Tariq El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, announced the success of the Adult Education Center at the Faculty of Education by completing the literacy of 2746 individuals from various centers of Assiut Governorate, during the year 2019.The President of Assiut University commended the pioneering and distinguished work carried out by the Center for Literacy and Adult Education in this field since its establishment in 2016, which is the third center of its kind at the level of the Republic and the first university center for literacy to serve the people of Upper Egypt governorates, which comes within the framework of the university’s role Knowledge and enlightenment, and its keenness to harness all its human and scientific capabilities for the development of society, and to achieve the desired renaissance and development.For his part, Prof. Dr. Adel Rasmi Al-Jundi, Dean of the College of Education, explained that the total number of those who were illiterate during 2019 was carried out in four stages, which included the role of January literacy 20 individuals, and in the role of April 29 people were erased and in the role of July 770 individuals, while in October In 2019, 1927 individuals from various Assiut Governorate centers were wiped out.He thanked him for the college students who contributed in their efforts to eradicate illiteracy that large number throughout the year, which also comes in the framework of the existing cooperation between the university and the General Authority for Adult Education and its branch in Assiut Governorate and seeking to eliminate illiteracy completely throughout the province.
