Experimenting With Environmental Materials In The Art Of Painting And Ceramics As An Introduction To Enhancing The Concept Of Environmental Sustainability Among King Faisal University Students

Research Abstract

The current research aims to: Open new horizons for experimentation with environmental materials in Al-Ahsa governorate aiming to enhance the concept of environmental sustainability among graduate students at King Faisal University. According to a teaching plan Based on experimentation with environmental materials, for all graduate students at the master’s level, numbering (7) Students who represented the intentional research sample. The research followed the descriptive analytical approach and the quasi-experimental approach in conducting a student experiment in the field of plastic arts and another personal experiment in the field of ceramics. The Likert scale was used to clarify the level of students’ performance in experimenting with environmental materials on the surface of their artworks, through designing student work evaluation card research samples. The research results show that experimenting with environmental materials in the art of Painting helped raise awareness of environmental materials among master's students and enhance the concept of sustainability in their paintings. Experimenting with environmental materials on the surface of ceramic works, whether before or after firing, resulted in unique and diverse textures and effects.

The workshop was dedicated to students of Taha Hanafi Preparatory School for Boys and El Obour Preparatory School for Girls within the framework of the presidential initiative for human development under the title "A New Beginning for Human Building" 
 They were trained on the basics and principles of drawing and perspective of various kinds, and the workshop aims to develop students' talent in academic drawing and realize the rules of engineering drawing for perspective. 
The Dean of the College praised the workshop and the skill and technical content during the workshop, starting with identifying the tools used and training on the basics and principles of drawing and perspective.

Assiut University. Organizing an exhibition entitled: An artistic vision of agricultural waste next Sunday

Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, organizes the exhibition of the Faculty of Specific Education, entitled: An artistic vision of agricultural waste, with the participation and presence of Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, at ten in the morning on Sunday, January 19, under the supervision of Dr. Yasmine Al-Kahki, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, in the discussion hall of the administrative building, Assiut University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy stated that the exhibition presents products for recycling agricultural waste, such as: newspaper, palm fiber, and banana fibers, and resulted in a group of artworks, with a new artistic vision, suitable as small projects, which achieves the Egyptian state's strategy for sustainable development, preserving the environment, recycling agricultural waste, and converting it into value-added products that enhance the economy and support local communities, instead of disposing of them in ways harmful to the environment, such as: Burning, or landfill, through cooperation with Assiut Governorate, and organizing many events, in order to achieve support for the local community.
