An inspection tour by the Dean of the College to the various departments of the College
As part of the college administration's commitment to monitoring the progress of administrative work and ensuring the work environment, Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the College, accompanied by the College's Vice Deans: Professor Dr. Yasser Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Ahmed Khedry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Dr. Mustafa El-Sebaei, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Hamdi El-Adawy, Secretary of the College, conducted an inspection tour of the administrative offices. He met with employees and listened to their opinions and observations regarding the workflow and needs of the work environment.
His Excellency praised the spirit of commitment and discipline he observed during the tour, emphasizing the vital role played by the administrative staff in supporting the educational process and advancing the work system within the college. He also emphasized the need to maintain direct communication with employees and work to overcome any obstacles they may face, thus contributing to improving performance and achieving the desired quality. This visit comes within the framework of the college's policy aimed at enhancing positive interaction between management and all employees, and instilling the principles of transparency and teamwork.

Under the kind patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, and in the presence of Ambassador Suresh Reddy, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Major General Dr. Hesham Abul Nasr, Governor of Assiut, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Assiut University, and Prof. Dr. Prakshan Chowdhury, Director of the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture, the "Eleventh International Day of Yoga" workshop was launched on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. The workshop was organized by the Embassy of India in Cairo in cooperation with the Indian Cultural Centre, coinciding with the annual celebration of the International Day of Yoga. The workshop was held in the covered hall of the Olympic Village at Assiut University. The attendees included Prof. Dr. Ahmed Salah Qura’a, General Supervisor of the Olympic Village, Prof. Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University, Prof. Dr. Rehab El Dakhley, Media Advisor to the President of Assiut University, Prof. Dr. Yasser Hassan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Amr Sayed Hassan, Executive Director of the International Students Care Office, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of Student Care, Ms. Asmaa Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration of Scientific and Cultural Relations, and Mr. Hossam Omar, Director of the Cultural Agreements and Conferences Department, the workshop coordinators, in addition to a number of administrative leaders from the university and the governorate, university students, and international students from India studying at Assiut University.
Occupational Safety and Health, Civil Protection and First Aid Basics Forum
Under the kind patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Alim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Mustafa El-Sebaei, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of faculty administrative staff, the Faculty of Sports Sciences organized a forum entitled "Fundamentals of Occupational Safety and Health, Civil Protection, and First Aid" on Monday, June 16, 2025, at the Faculty. The forum featured the following speakers:
Professor Dr. Raymond Milad, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sugar Technology, Assiut University.
Professor Dr. Hala Mohamed Ghanem, Professor in the Department of Internal Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University.
Professor Dr. Naglaa Ahmed El-Rashidi, Professor in the Department of Critical Care and Emergency Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University.
Professor Mohamed Abdel-Aal, Director of the Civil Protection Department, Assiut University. The forum aimed to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety and prevention in the workplace, education, and community. Key topics related to the foundations of occupational safety and health, the need to understand the basics of first aid, civil defense, disaster and crisis management, and how to prevent and maintain the safety of individuals and facilities were discussed.
The Faculty Council held its 262nd session today, June 16, 2025, chaired by Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Council, and attended by the Faculty's Vice Deans and esteemed Faculty Council members. The Dean of the Faculty began the Council by discussing several important topics related to graduate studies, such as approving the formation of research discussions, registration and scholarship decisions, faculty promotions, and ensuring preparations for graduate studies exams. Topics related to education and student affairs were also addressed, most notably the importance of completing control work and announcing results as quickly as possible. Topics related to community service and environmental development were also considered, and several topics for development and renewal within the Faculty were presented. The Faculty affirms its continued support for the progress and excellence of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Assiut University.
