Obligatory Condolences Professor Dr. Samah Mohamed Abdullah, Dean of the College, the Vice Deans, the Faculty Members, the Secretary General of the College, the staff and students of the College offer their sincere condolences

 and sympathy for the loss of the College and one of its employees for many years, the honorable colleague / Susan Wahba Thabet, an employee in the Library Department at the College. We ask God for mercy, forgiveness and freedom from hellfire for the deceased and for the College family and her family, our sincere condolences and may He inspire them with patience and solace. To God we belong and to Him we shall return.

Faculty Council Session No. (151) held on Thursday, March 20, 2025. In the presence of Professor Dr. Samah Mohamed Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Faculty Council, the Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, Unit Representatives,

 and Civil Society Representatives from abroad.
At the beginning of the Council's work, Professor Dr. Samah Mohamed Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Vice Deans and Heads of Departments for all their efforts and contributions. In this context, Professor Dr. Samah Abdullah announced the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities to take note of Ministerial Resolution No. (567) dated March 5, 2025, approving the internal regulations of the Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University (graduate stage) according to the credit hour system and implementing it, and annulling any text that contradicts its provisions.
The Council also approved the memorandum submitted by Professor Dr. / Head of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee regarding the nomination of Prof. Dr. Marzouqa Abdel Aziz Gad Allah, Professor of Pediatric Nursing, as a reviewer in the Ethics Committee.
The Council also approved the promotion of each of the following:
- Dr. Mona Fawzy Hussein to the position of Assistant Professor in the Department, based on the decision of the Scientific Committee for Promotions to the Ranks of Professors and Assistant Professors in Nursing dated February 25, 2025, which stated that the scientific production submitted by Her Excellency merits her promotion to the rank of Assistant Professor of Mental Health Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University.
- Dr. Sohair Ahmed Awad to the position of Assistant Professor in the Department, based on the decision of the Scientific Committee for Promotions to the Ranks of Professors and Associate Professors in Nursing dated February 25, 2025, stating that the academic output submitted by Her Excellency merits promotion to the rank of Assistant Professor in Geriatric Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University.
The appointments were approved by the following:
- Dr. Aisha Abdel Nasser Fawzy, Lecturer in the Department, who received her PhD in Maternal and Neonatal Health Nursing.
- Dr. Hasnaa Gamal Abdel Moneim, Lecturer in the Department, who received her PhD in Maternal and Neonatal Health Nursing.
- Dr. Nagat Mustafa Khalifa, to the rank of Lecturer in the Department, who received her PhD in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
- Dr. Amira Ahmed Hussein, to the rank of Lecturer in the Department, who received her PhD in Internal-Surgical Nursing.

The Council also discussed various topics for the Department Councils and the various sectors within the College.

, in the presence of Professor Dr. Magda Ahmed Mohamed, Head of the Intensive Program Control, approved the results of the sixth level of the Intensive Bachelor's Program in Nursing. A total of 152 male and female students took the sixth level exam, with a success rate exceeding 94%.

Exploring the role of spiritual leadership among nurse colleagues: an associative analysis of its impact on passion and altruism

Research Abstract

Background

Spiritual leadership emphasizes that nurses encounter situations that require compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of the human experience. Passion can drive nurses' motivation, engagement, and commitment to patient care. Altruism is a core value in nursing that involves selfless concern for the well-being of others. Spiritual leadership might be an essential organizational resource in enhancing followers’ inspiring vision, compassion for others, and passion for their work.

Aim of the study

To investigate the role of spiritual leadership in the relationship between altruism and passion for work among nurse colleagues.

Subjects & method

A multicenter descriptive, cross-sectional research study was conducted at six Nursing Egyptian faculties affiliated with Alexandria, Port-Said, Fayoum, Damanhur, Assiut, and Sohag Universities, with 391 nurse colleagues.
