Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, 
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student 
Affairs, Dr. Dweib Hussein Saber, Dean of the College, and Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawy, 
Vice President of the College for Education and Student Affairs.
The symposium witnessed; Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawli, Vice President of the University for 
Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Madiha Darwish, General Supervisor of Student 
Activities, lectured during the symposium. Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, Professor of Public 
Law and Dean of the College of Law, and Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi, Professor and Head of 
the Department of Public Law, and Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs.
The Vice President of Assiut University for Education and Student Affairs emphasized in 
his speech: The necessity of consensus among the masses of the Egyptian people; To cast 
their votes in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections, explaining: Participation in 
electoral elections is a national and national duty that must be performed. To build 
the Egyptian state and support the development path; Which establishes the principles 
of establishing the national state and achieves the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber explained: Egypt is currently witnessing major regional and 
international challenges, which require strong political and economic stability, 
pointing out that political participation in the presidential elections; This stability 
is enhanced; By enhancing legitimacy and the ability to make appropriate political 
decisions, which is reflected in strengthening confidence in the government and 
the economy, and encouraging national and foreign investments, in addition to 
the fourth and fifth generation wars and ideological wars that the world is witnessing.
Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi noted: To the university’s keenness to encourage its members; 
To participate in free voting, based on the importance of the influence of the electoral 
vote in the electoral process; Within a framework of democracy and complete freedom.
Praising the keenness of the university administration to support the series of seminars 
organized by the College of Law, and to hold many seminars aimed at raising awareness 
among its members, students and employees; The importance of political participation in 
the upcoming presidential elections; As a legal and constitutional entitlement and 
a national duty; It is also the basis of the development doctrine, and the basis for 
developing effective public policies. It contributes to building the future of Egyptians 
and achieving security and development for the Egyptian state.
The symposium addressed a number of topics, most notably: The procedures for the presidential 
elections, their time stages, the rights of citizens to nominate and vote, how the law 
regulates these rights, and a number of important topics, which included defining 
political participation, its importance in making public policies, and political 
participation; As the essence and basis of citizenship.
The symposium also shed light on the concept of the electoral process, its role in 
maintaining the security and stability of the nation, and achieving the state’s will 
for development, in addition to addressing the criteria for choosing between candidates 
for the presidential elections, the framework regulating the presidential elections in 
Egypt, and its entitlements.

For the fourth day in a row, the Faculty of Law at Assiut University continues its 
national mission of spreading political awareness, and continues the series of educational 
seminars to educate students about the importance of participating in the upcoming 
presidential elections.
Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the Faculty 
of Law organized, on Wednesday, November 29, four important educational seminars, within 
the series of seminars “For the sake of your country; Be positive and participate in 
the 2024 presidential elections,” for college students; Early childhood education, sugar 
industry technology and integrated industries, science, and physical education, during which professors of constitutional law at the Faculty of Law lectured.
Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, Dean of the College of Law, and Legal Advisor to the President 
of the University, Dr. Rajab Muhammad Al-Kahlawi, Professor and Head of the Department of 
Public Law at the College, and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Suleiman 
Abdel-Radi, Assistant Professor of Public Law, Dr. Mustafa Hassan Sanusi, Teaching Assistant 
in the Department of Public Law, and Dr. Iyad Ahmed Abdel Mawla, teaching assistant in 
the Civil Law Department.
Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber confirmed that the university administration supports holding 
these purposeful seminars, because of its belief in the necessity of educating young 
people about their national duty, and the importance of exercising their political rights 
in choosing the president of their country, and thus in making political decisions with 
complete freedom, noting that the practice of citizens voting in elections; It represents 
the most indicative image of the effectiveness and vitality of political participation in 
countries, which emphasizes the stability of the nation and the freedom of its decisions, 
calling on everyone to perform this national duty seriously and impartially.
Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi stressed the need to enhance the role of youth in decision-making, 
and expand their participation in political work, by developing their knowledge and experience 
in their important strategic role in building the nation and confronting the challenges 
facing it, extending an invitation to all attendees; To participate in the constitutional
entitlement to the presidential elections, in a positive and constructive manner.
The most prominent presidential election procedures were also reviewed. By explaining who 
has the right to run for the presidency of the republic, and who has the right to cast 
a vote, in addition to how to know your electoral domicile and the possibility of 
changing it, through presenting the time stages of these elections, starting from 
the opening of nominations, until the announcement of the final result.
In addition, many important topics were addressed, which covered: constitutional awareness 
for students to participate in the presidential elections, the most prominent procedures 
for the presidential elections, their time stages, the right of citizens to vote, run, 
and express their opinion in the referendum, in addition to the legal foundations for 
forming political parties, and the framework. political, constitutional and legal rights 
to exercise the citizenship rights of the people, stressing the necessity of participating 
in the upcoming electoral elections; To achieve stability and security for the Egyptian 
state, because of its important leadership role at both levels; Regional and international.
The Dean of the College and the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs also extend 
their sincere thanks and appreciation to the university administration for providing all 
means of support for this initiative, which advances the thinking and awareness of

On Thursday, November 30, Assiut University witnessed the holding of two awareness 
seminars, as part of the series of seminars “For the sake of your country: Be positive 
and participate in the 2024 presidential elections,” which are organized by the Faculty 
of Law, for students of both faculties; Social service and specific education, under 
the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University.
This came under the supervision of: Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University 
for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Dawib Hussein Saber, Dean of the College of Law, 
and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, and Dr. Rajab Muhammad Al-Kahlawi, 
Professor and Head of the Department of Public Law at the College, and Vice Dean of 
the College for Education and Student Affairs.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawy stressed the university’s keenness and support to consolidate positive 
participation in such an important event. Considering that participating in the voting process 
in the presidential elections is a duty and an inherent right for every citizen, and a real 
opportunity to enhance transparency and political legitimacy, calling on the university family 
to be an effective role model for society, in ensuring that the values ​​of national belonging

The first symposium, at the College of Social Work, witnessed the presence of:

Specific Education, witnessed the presence of; Dr. Wagdy Refaat, Dean of the College, and 
Dr. Yasmine Al-Kahky, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, with the participation 
of a group of faculty members, staff, and a group of students from both colleges.
For his part, Dr. Dwaib Saber called on young people not to give up their electoral right, 
and to participate in the constitutional entitlement for the presidential elections, in 
a positive and constructive manner, due to the importance and seriousness of the position 
of head of state, who has distinct legal powers, and to arbitrate between the legislative

Dr. Rajab Kahlawi pointed out in his lecture during the events: To turn the attention of

The symposium witnessed the participation of Dr. Safaa Marzouk Tahami, Dean of the College 
of Dentistry, Dr. Muhammad Badawi Abdel Hamid, Vice Dean of the College of Dentistry for 
Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hebatullah Gamal El-Din Rashid, Vice Dean of 
the College of Dentistry for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, 
and the presence of a number of faculty members, college staff and students.
Dr. Dwaib Hussein also thanked the university administration for its great support to 
the Faculty of Law in organizing this series of important awareness seminars, as they 
come as we are on the verge of a landmark constitutional entitlement that brings 
the President of the State, and participation in it reflects the extent of the Egyptian
