Announcement of scholarships in Hungary for the year 2026–2027

The Office of International Relations and Arab Universities announces scholarships from Hungary for the academic year 2026-2027.

These scholarships are divided into the following categories:

1- Postgraduate students (Master's degree holders), which are divided into:

• Short-term study visits (3 to 29 days).

• Long-term study visits (1 to 6 months).

2- Postdoctoral level (PhD holders), which are divided into:

• Short-term study visits (3 to 29 days).

• Part-time studies for one or two semesters.

3- Arts scholarships, open to the following categories:

• Visual and applied artists.

• Performance artists.

Required documents:

1. Tempus Public Institution application form (can be downloaded from the online system).

2. Research abstract in a few sentences.

3. A detailed and concise work plan – minimum one page and maximum five pages. 4. A complete professional curriculum vitae.

5. A copy of the applicant's highest degree at the time of application (Master's degree for postgraduate research, and PhD for postdoctoral research).

6. Proof of proficiency in the language required for the research program (at least a B2 level language proficiency certificate).

7. A list of publications.

8. A preliminary letter of acceptance from a representative of a Hungarian institution, research institute, or technical organization.

9. Two letters of recommendation from recognized experts in the relevant field.

10. A copy of a valid passport or national identity card.

Applicants must submit their applications through the Tempus Public Scholarship online system at the following link:

The following steps should be followed:

• Register using a username and password.

• Select one of the following categories:

Postgraduate level: For applicants with a Master's degree.

Postdoctoral level: For applicants with a PhD.

• After registering, please fill out the CV section and attach the required application documents in the "Required Documents" section.

The deadline for applications is February 19, 2026.

Announcing the Best Master's Thesis Award and the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award for the year 2025-2026.

The Office of International Relations and Arab Universities Affairs announces that the Association of Arab Universities is accepting nominations for the Best Master's Thesis Award and the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award for the academic year 2025-2026 in one of the following two fields:

(1) Basic and Applied Sciences, with the following topics: Artificial Intelligence Applications, Statistical Applications, New and Renewable Energy, Water and Desalination, and Desertification.

(2) Humanities and Social Sciences, with the following topics: Authorship and Translation, and Preserving Arab Identity.

The nomination requirements are as follows:

• Nominations must be submitted via an official letter from a member university of the Association. Each university may nominate one Master's or Doctoral thesis in each of the award categories.

• The thesis must have been defended no more than three years prior to the nomination date.

• The thesis must not have received a similar award from another entity.

• The thesis must have been successfully defended and awarded by a member university of the Association of Arab Universities.

• The thesis must be written in Arabic or English. An abstract of no more than twenty lines in Arabic must be submitted for theses submitted in English.

• The thesis must be original and innovative, while fully adhering to the principles of academic integrity and research ethics.

• The thesis must make a clear scientific or applied contribution to its field and contribute to the advancement of knowledge or the resolution of scientific or societal problems.

• The findings of the thesis must have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

• The master's thesis or doctoral dissertation must have received a distinction grade.

The prizes are as follows:

• Best Doctoral Dissertation in Basic and Applied Sciences:

First Place: $4,000

Second Place: $2,500

• Best Master's Thesis in Basic and Applied Sciences:

First Place: $2,000

Second Place: $1,500

• Best Doctoral Dissertation in Humanities and Social Sciences:

First Place: $4,000.

Second Place: $2,500.

• Best Master's Thesis Award in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

First Place: $2,000.

Second Place: $1,500.

Those wishing to be nominated for the award should send a letter signed by the Dean of their college/institute to the Director and General Coordinator of the Office of International Relations and Arab Universities Affairs, confirming their nomination. The letter must be accompanied by a CD containing the following:

1. A curriculum vitae of the nominee in PDF format.

2. A compressed PDF file of the thesis, not exceeding 10 MB.

3. A photograph of the nominee (4x6 cm with a white background), not exceeding 10 MB.

A printed copy of the nominee's curriculum vitae must also be submitted, signed and dated on each page.

The deadline for submitting nomination letters to the Office of International Relations and Arab Universities Affairs in the Administration Building is February 8, 2026.
 

Announcement of the opening of applications for student mobility to study within the framework of the (Erasmus+KA171) program at Kastamonu University in Turkey

The Office of International Relations and Arab Universities Affairs, in cooperation with the Education and Student Affairs Sector and the Postgraduate Studies Sector at Assiut University, announces the opening of applications for student mobility to study at Kastamonu University in Turkey under the Erasmus+KA171 program. The program will last five months, from January 26, 2026, to July 3, 2026.

Application Requirements:

1. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral program at the university.

2. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of:

   • For Bachelor's students: 2.20 out of 4.

   • For Postgraduate students: 2.50 out of 4.

3. Applicants must have a minimum English language proficiency level of B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR), and the certificate must have been obtained within the last five years.

Required Documents:

• Application form with a personal photograph (must be signed by the applicant and the General Coordinator of the Office of International Relations before uploading).

• Personal photograph.

• Proof of enrollment (an official document showing the student's current academic level) certified by the college.

• Copy of national ID card.

• Copy of passport.

• Proof of academic qualifications (for Master's and PhD applicants only):

• Most recent Bachelor's degree certificate for Master's applicants.

• For PhD applicants (Bachelor's and Master's degrees).

• Official transcript in English showing the cumulative GPA.

• Certified English language proficiency test certificate/results.
