Assiut University Implements a Therapeutic and Awareness Convoy Specialized in the Field of Dentistry for the South Egypt Cancer Institute

A dental treatment and awareness convoy at the South Egypt Cancer Institute for patients and the South Egypt Cancer Institute – students of the Faculty of Dentistry – employees of the Institute, with the aim of: providing therapeutic and awareness services in the field of dentistry, and promoting awareness of oral and dental health

The Faculty of Dentistry at Assiut University launched a therapeutic and awareness convoy for the South Egypt Cancer Institute, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, where the convoy included examining more than 235 cases in various dental specialties, providing the necessary treatment, and referring some cases to the University Dental Hospital, within the framework of the celebrations of World Oral Health Day.

Assiut Information Technology Institute and Al-Azhar Unite to Empower Youth with Digital Skills through the Information Technology Institute at Assiut University

Assiut University Receives the First Batch of Al-Azhar Students for Training at the Information Technology Institute (ITI), with the aim of: qualifying university students with modern digital skills, and enabling them to work in the fields of information technology and self-employment in support of digital transformation and Egypt's Vision 2030

The Institute of Information Technology (ITI) branch at Assiut University received the first group of Al-Azhar University students (30 students) as part of training scholarships aimed at developing their skills in the fields of self-employment and modern technology. This came within the framework of the cooperation protocol between Assiut University and the Institute, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Heba Saleh, President of the Institute. The training comes to enhance the university's role in preparing cadres capable of keeping pace with the digital labor market and achieving integration between higher education institutions.

Assiut Conference for Clinical Pathology (16) "Development and Leadership in the Future of Medical Analysis"

The Sixteenth Annual Conference of the Department of Clinical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine at Assiut University for Faculty Members – Researchers – Students of the Faculty of Medicine – Specialists in the field of Medical Analysis, with the aim of: discussing the latest developments in the science of medical analysis, and enhancing research cooperation between Egyptian universities

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, the Department of Clinical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine organized its sixteenth annual conference entitled "Development and Leadership in the Future of Medical Analysis" on February 18 and 19, 2025. The conference discussed the latest research in the field of medical analysis and applications of artificial intelligence in marrow transplantation, with the participation of a group of professors and researchers from various Egyptian universities.

The conference witnessed the presence of the vice presidents of the university and a number of leaders of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the event embodies the university's commitment to excellence and scientific innovation, while Dr. Alaa Attia explained that the department represents one of the most important pillars of medical services in university hospitals because of its internationally accredited laboratories.

The National Authority for Quality Concludes its Visit to Assiut Trade: Review the Accreditation of the Business Information Systems (BIS) Program

Accreditation of the Business Information Systems (BIS) program at the Faculty of Commerce at Assiut University for faculty members – students of the Faculty of Commerce – quality institutions and academic accreditation, with the aim of: enhancing the culture of quality and academic accreditation at the university and developing educational programs in accordance with national and international standards

 

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, stressed the university's keenness to apply quality standards in its faculties and academic programs in line with the needs of society and sustainable development. This came during the visit of the delegation of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education to review the accreditation of the Business Information Systems (BIS) program at the College of Commerce, headed by Dr. Sahar Badawi.

Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Aleem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that the university provides full support to achieve academic accreditation and promote excellence in education and scientific research. Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez, Dean of the Faculty, also pointed out that the visit lasted for three days, and aimed to review the academic and administrative aspects of the program, praising the support of the university administration in spreading the culture of quality and developing the capabilities of workers and researchers.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, reviewed a report by Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, on the achievements of the Students' University Hospital for the year 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Mostafa Fayez, Director of the Hospital. The report indicated that the hospital received (20500) cases in outpatient clinics, (1700) emergency cases, and performed (370) surgeries, in addition to providing dialysis services to (2400) cases. The year also witnessed the opening of a dental clinic and the development of the hospital's laboratory with the latest medical equipment.

The Innovative Projects and Student Creativity Unit at Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, announced the opening of applications for innovative graduation projects for the academic year 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The competition aims to support outstanding student projects financially and technically, and to turn ideas into viable prototypes, with the deadline for submission being on February 27, 2025, and the announcement of the results on March 22, 2025.

Assiut University Completes the First Phase of the "Governance and Anti-Corruption" Program in Cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority.

The first phase of the training program for Assiut University students in the fields of governance and anti-corruption for Assiut University students with the aim of enhancing the role of youth in combating corruption and spreading the concepts of governance

 

Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, announced the end of the first phase of the training program in the fields of governance and anti-corruption, with the participation of 150 students from the faculties of education, arts and social work, in cooperation with the National Anti-Corruption Academy, during the period from 16 to 18 February 2025

Campaign for Early Detection of Breast Cancer at Assiut University for All Female and Female Affiliates of Assiut University University Oncology Hospital – South Egypt Cancer Institute

Assiut University launches the campaign under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, as part of the initiative of the President of the Republic to support the health of Egyptian women, with the aim of early detection of breast cancer and awareness of the importance of periodic examination, through a mobile unit equipped with the latest medical devices on campus.

"Anti-Corruption in Assiut" Al-Ahliyya Assiut University joins the training program at the National Academy in Cairo.

Al-Ahliyya Assiut University participates in a training program to combat corruption and governance at the National Anti-Corruption Academy for faculty members at private universities, with the aim of enhancing awareness of the concepts of integrity and transparency, and spreading the culture of governance and anti-corruption within the academic community, in implementation of the national strategy to combat corruption and achieve the goals of sustainable development.

Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University and authorized to conduct the affairs of Assiut National University, Al-Ahliyya Assiut University participated in the activities of the Anti-Corruption and Governance Training Program for the cadres of faculty members at private universities, organized by the Administrative Control Authority at the headquarters of the National Anti-Corruption Academy in Cairo, during the period from 16 to 18 February 2025.

Dr. Ahmed Allam, Acting Director of Programs at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, participated in the program.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed the importance of such programs in building an institutional culture based on integrity and transparency, and enhancing societal awareness of the seriousness of corruption and its impact on development.

For his part, Dr. Nobi Mohamed Hassan, Vice President of Assiut National University for Academic Affairs, explained that the program represents an important step towards consolidating the principles of governance within the academic community.

The program included several themes on the definition of corruption, its causes and effects, the role of the Administrative Control Authority, Egypt's Vision 2030, work ethics, governance in the face of corruption, corruption and national security.

In cooperation with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority: Assiut University organizes an awareness seminar on: "The Role of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Enhancing Cyber Awareness and Security"

The seminar "The Role of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Promoting Cyber Awareness and Security" at Assiut University for university students , faculty members , and university employees interested in the field of communications and cybersecurity, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, raising awareness of the dangers of the Internet, ways to protect data and information, and the role of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in achieving a safe and sustainable digital environment.

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, Assiut University will host on Monday, February 24, 2025, an awareness seminar entitled: "The Role of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Enhancing Cyber Awareness and Security", organized by the Ministry of Communications in cooperation with the University.

The seminar aims to introduce the Authority's efforts in protecting users from digital risks, spreading the culture of safe use of the Internet, while discussing issues of electronic extortion, fourth-generation wars, and targeted advertising.

A group of experts from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), including Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Head of the Community Interaction Sector, and Eng. Mohamed Al-Hamami, Senior Cybersecurity Expert, will participate in the seminar, as part of the university's cultural season, which promotes awareness and knowledge among its students.
