From December 29, 2024, to January 25, 2025, a specialized committee established by the Institute for Leadership Development will assess the submitted entries. The winning students will be recognized at the 56th International Book Fair.
The Faculty of Dentistry launched a free dental treatment convoy for children, offering high-quality care with specialized dentists from the Pediatric Dentistry Department's faculty and staff. The convoy also benefited from the support of a dedicated team from the Smile Foundation and utilized state-of-the-art equipment to provide outstanding treatment services to as many children as possible.
The Pediatric Dentistry Department, in collaboration with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, organized its second awareness day for parents of children receiving outpatient care at the department. This initiative is part of a monthly series of awareness days held every first Monday.
The Faculty of Dentistry announced its third therapeutic and awareness convoys on Wednesday 5thJanuary,2025, to serve the neediest villages. The convoys are organized by the Faculty's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in cooperation with the Assiut Health Directorate's General Administration of Dentistry.
Under the approval of His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, for the implementation of the second edition of the "Beginning of a Dream" competition in the field of community initiatives, which has received the gracious patronage of the First Lady of the Republic for the current year 2024/2025, and under the auspices of His Excellency Prof./ Ahmed El-Minshawy (University President) and His Excellency Prof./ Ahmed Abdel-Mawla (Vice President for Education and Student Affairs), the competition is announced with the following conditions:
· The age range is from 18 to 40 years old.
· One of the team members plays the role of a coach/mentor.
· Each team should include both females and males, if possible.
· The initiator of the idea or the team members are not allowed to enter or register in more than one initiative.
· Those who participated in the first edition are only allowed to participate with a new idea or initiative.
· Participating with the same idea or initiative, or an initiative that has won in other competitions, is not allowed.
· The initiative must have a community impact and be linked to one of the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030.
· The winning works of the participants will be escalated for judging by a committee of senior specialists, and those deemed suitable will be escalated to the final stages.
· The most important initiatives and ideas will be escalated to attend the training camp in preparation for the final judging.
· Registration for the competition will continue through the link from January 1, 2025, to March 1, 2025.
· The evaluation criteria for the competition must be taken into account in the case of initiatives or ideas.

Honoring the members of the Technical Nursing Training Department at the Faculty of Dentistry Hospital on Monday 6th Jan 2025. This is in recognition of their distinguished efforts and significant contributions to enhancing the efficiency of the nursing staff and healthcare providers at the University Dental Hospital. This is within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and the Technical Nursing Training Department at the University Hospitals. The honoring also included the esteemed Ms. Neamat Mahmoud Abdel Rahim, Director of the Nursing Department at the Dental Hospital, in recognition of her continuous efforts over the past years to develop the nursing system. |
At the end of the honoring ceremony, the Technical Nursing Training Department presented a commemorative gift to Prof./ Mohamed Nahed Attia, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in appreciation of the fruitful cooperation over the past years.
