The leadership of the College of Commerce participated, represented by Prof. Dr. Nesma Heshmat, Vice Dean of the College for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Marwa Bakr, Head of the Department of Political Science, Professor Abdel Qader Mahran, Dean of the College, and the Youth Welfare Department at the Faculty of Commerce, represented by its Director, Professor Tariq Sharit, and supervisors of activities in the administration, on the closing day of the activities of the June 30 Revolution at Assiut University, on Tuesday, 8/1/2023, by holding An exhibition of male and female students’ paintings about the revolution and the achievements they achieved.

The Faculty of Commerce organized several activities, including: seminars on social protection policies in Egypt, Egypt’s foreign policy, and self-student seminars on revolution and comprehensive development, Egypt’s role in organizations, and confronting regional and global challenges.

A research submitted by female students of the College of Commerce on the revolution and women’s empowerment also won third place at the university level in the cultural competition that was implemented. The symposium activities are organized by the Business Information Systems (BIS) Program in cooperation with the Center for Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Assiut, affiliated with the Ministry of Communications.

The “Unified Competition” tests for students who hold a diploma in commercial technical schools have begun

The “Unified Competition for Students Holding a Diploma in Commercial Technical Schools” exams began in the three-year system for the academic year 2023/2024.

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the Faculty of Commerce launches the English Language Program (FCEP) for the new academic year.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, reviewed a report submitted by Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, about the English Language Program (FCEP) at the Faculty of Commerce, within the framework of the media campaign implemented by Assiut University to introduce its faculties and study programs, and within the framework of the university administration’s keenness to prepare qualified graduates. To work in the college’s areas of specialization that require the use of the English language, keep pace with successive developments in the field of business, and produce high-quality research, as well as effectively contribute to community service and environmental development.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy stated that the English Language Program (FCEP) was established at the college in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities in 1996, and the program allows graduates to work in many fields that require the use of the English language in financial, commercial, and administrative transactions, investment companies and foreign banks, and preparing... Feasibility studies for projects, evaluation of investment proposals, and use of computers and information technology to develop knowledge and professional skills related to the field of specialization.

Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez, Dean of the College, added that the study within the English language program is based on lectures and practical lessons, and for the student to graduate, it is required that he successfully pass the courses in the college’s regulations, which include 52 courses distributed over 8 semesters, adding that specialization begins in the fourth year, where he can Students may join one of the two divisions (Accounting Division - Business Administration Division), and application to the Language Division is made through the Internal Coordination Office. The college accepts students who meet the admission conditions, and study in the program in English in all its courses, which leads to developing the language level of enrolled students in accordance with Its own set of educational standards.
