Two Winning Female Students from the Faculty of Specific Education, Assiut University in the Fifteenth Creative Student Forum Held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Faculty of Specific Education congratulates students Salma Talaat Mahrous and Sama Osama Mohammed on their winning in the Fifteenth Creative Student Forum held in the Saudi Capital, under the title "Arab Universities." The Forum was held in collaboration between the Arab Council for the training of students of Arab Universities and the University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 17-21 November, 2012.

Assiut University Mycological Centre AUMC) Holds the Sixteenth Workshop on Medical Fungi

Under the auspices of Dr Mostafa M. Kamal, Assiut University President, and Dr Ahmed Abdu Gaeis, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, the proceedings of the sixteenth workshop took place at the AUMC on Medical fungi.  Dr. Abdel-Aal H. Mubasher, Director of the AUMC pointed out that the workshop will continue for the duration of five days and will handle a number of issues including keynote definitions of Medical Fungi, techniques of collecting medical samples, dyeing them, and direct microscopic testing. In addition to this, the workshops will focus on the clinical and symptoms, the fungi causing the illness, and the possible anti-fungal medications used for treatment. Dr Mubasher added that a number of 32 scholar and researcher from Faculties of Science, Vet-Medicine and other national and international scientific centers are currently participating in the workshop and this will benefit faculty members, and assistants at universities and scientific centers.

Workshops for Academically Distinguished Students Assiut University

  Leaders Preparation Administration, a division of the General Administration of Youth Care, Assiut University holds a number of workshops for academically distinguished students from 12-14 November 2012 at the International Conference Auditorium located in the Faculty of Agriculture. 150 students from different faculties will participate in the occasion.    Mr. Ashraf Abdel-Hamid, director of Leaders Preparation Administration indicated that the program will be held under the auspices of Dr. Mostafa Mohamed Kamal, President of the University and Dr. Adel Ryan Vice President for Education and students affairs, and supervised by Dr. Gabir Ahmed Mugahid, Professor, faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Dr. Abdul Haakim Younis, Professor, Faculty of Agriculture. Mr. Abdel Hamid added that the program aims at enhancing students' awareness of belonging to the university, and contributing to the preparation of future leaders. It also aims at allowing possible chances for free discourse with the leadership. The themes of the workshops will centre on three topics. First, students' belonging and the reactions towards the difficulties met during the educational process, together with the practice of students' activities. The second theme concerns the preparation of future leaders through recognition of the characteristic features of the leading personality and the importance of communication in the leader's life. Third, the workshops center on means free discourse and politics of dialogue and how to use them properly.
