قسم علم الحيوان والحشرات

أعددنا برامج بحثية مختلفة في القسم في جميع المجالات، بما في ذلك المشاريع القصيرة والطويلة الأجل. وتشمل هذه الأبحاث الدراسات البيئية والبيولوجية على النظم البيئية البحرية والمياه العذبة، وتأثير تلوث المياه على حيوانات النيل، والدراسات البيولوجية والتصنيفية والسمكية على أسماك النيل والبحر الأحمر؛ كما أننا بدأنا، منذ عشر سنوات، في عمل تقييم مستمر لمخزون أسماك النيل والبحرالأحمر.

 تمثل نمذجة النظم البيئية المائية للبحيرات المصرية، وبخاصة بحيرة ناصر مهمة أساسية لمجموعة بيولوجيا الأسماك. تنفذ مشاريع مماثلة فيما يتعلق بالمجالات الحشرية وخاصة تلك المرتبطة بمناطقنا المحمية في أسيوط والطفيليات الحيوانية وتأثيراتها الاقتصادية.
