Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, announces the suspension of in-person classes at Assiut University on Wednesday and Thursday, with classes continuing online, in accordance with the directives of the Minister of Higher Education.
Due to unstable weather conditions
In light of the statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the directives of Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education, regarding the suspension of in-person classes at universities and institutes due to unstable weather conditions, Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, announces the suspension of in-person classes at the university's faculties and institutes on Wednesday and Thursday, March 25 and 26, 2026. The educational process will continue online during these two days.
The President of Assiut University noted that this excludes medical staff at university hospitals, university security personnel, employees in occupational health and safety departments, those on duty, and those whose work requires their presence, in order to ensure the smooth operation and effective management of the situation within the university.
His Excellency affirmed that university studies and activities will return to normal after the end of the period of suspension of in-person studies, with full commitment to all instructions issued in this regard in order to preserve everyone’s safety.
