Important Announcement about the Ideal Student Competition 2026

The Social Activities Department at the University's Youth Welfare Department intends to launch the Ideal Student Competition at the college level at Assiut University for the 2025/2026 academic year. The competition is scheduled to take place during October and November 2025.

In light of this, the competition's conditions are announced as follows:
? Competition Conditions:
1. The student must not be a first-year or preparatory student at the college.
2. The student must have achieved a grade of at least "Good" in the previous academic year.
3. The applicant must not have previously been subject to any penalties or punishments (proving this must be provided).
4. The student must not have previously participated in or received one of the top four places in the competition.
5. The student must have community involvement outside the university.
6. The student must be actively involved in student activities and possess effective presentation and communication skills.
7. The student is preferred to possess diverse artistic, literary, or athletic skills.
8. Submit a CD containing a CV detailing your internal and external activities, to be presented to the judging panel for five minutes during the competition.
9. Bring a certified transcript of grades from the college's Student Affairs department.
10. Submit a hard copy CV with copies of all certificates and activities attached. Bring the originals to the competition.

The Faculty of Sports Sciences at Assiut University announces the release of the final lists for the distribution of third-year students to the following academic departments:

The final lists have been approved in accordance with the regulations and standards approved by the Faculty Council.

Student seminar for the Quality Assurance Unit for students of the College of Sports Sciences

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Assiut University, organized a student symposium for third- and fourth-year students entitled:
"A Study of the Obstacles Facing Students and the Requirements of the Labor Market."
The symposium was held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in Hall 2 of the Faculty. The symposium was attended by Professor Dr. Emad Samir Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty; Professor Dr. Yasser Hassan Hamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Ahmed Khedry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Abdel-Wahab, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Dr. Tarek Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, Director of the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit. Also present were heads of academic departments, members of the Quality Assurance Unit, and a number of faculty members and their assistants.

The seminar was opened by Assistant Professor Dr. Bassam El-Sayed, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at the College, who recited the national anthem. The seminar opened with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome speech. Students were introduced to the organizational structure of the College's Quality Management Department, including members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Office, and their roles in supporting the development process were explained. The mechanisms and requirements for the College to achieve quality and academic accreditation were also reviewed.

During the seminar, student representatives from the academic departments raised key issues, most notably the obstacles associated with the current regulations and the challenges facing the College's graduates in the labor market. These topics were discussed and addressed by the Dean of the College, the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the Director of the Quality Assurance Unit.

The seminar witnessed a distinguished attendance and interaction from students across the College's various academic years, particularly third- and fourth-year students, who demonstrated a keen interest and willingness to participate in supporting the College's quality process.

At the conclusion of the symposium, the Dean of the College emphasized that quality is a work culture and collective practice that the College seeks to instill. He called on its students to adhere to the spirit of creativity and development and to actively participate in the College's progress. He wished them continued excellence and success in their academic and future endeavors.

In an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and belonging, the opening of the physical preparation phase for first-year students took place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the college's new playgrounds. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the College, and the Vice Deans, under the supervision of the Curriculum and Physical Education Department, faculty members, and their assistants.

The event began with the flag salute, followed by students being directed to attend theoretical lectures by the Academic Guidance Committee, as well as practical lectures and physical preparation stations.

The Dean of the College emphasized that this phase aims to enhance students' physical fitness and prepare them for various sports activities. It also aims to raise their awareness of the regulatory and disciplinary policies that distinguish students in the College of Sports Sciences, ensuring they are always role models for commitment and discipline.

? We emphasize to our students that attendance is mandatory. Registration will be considered part of the actual attendance for the first semester. We therefore urge first-year students to fully commit to attendance.
