Speech of the Head of the Department of Maternal and Newborn Health Nursing

Male and female students of the College of Nursing, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 On behalf of myself, and on behalf of my colleagues, members of the Department Council, I am pleased to address you through the department’s website, with greetings. I wish this window to add more information to you about our department and to achieve effective communication between us.

The department offers male and female students special courses on maternal and fetal health in bachelor’s and master’s degrees - doctorate degrees to graduate generations capable of facing the challenges of the future and meeting the needs of the labor market. I hope that the site will contribute to provide the desired benefit to you.

Mission:

The Department of Reproductive Health Nursing (Gynecology and Obstetrics Nursing) at the Faculty of Nursing, Assiut University, works to prepare scientifically, skillfully and professionally qualified cadres in the field of gynecology and obstetrics nursing through educational programs based on accredited academic standards and scientific research that keeps pace with the requirements of the present and the labor market in order to preserve women's health And improving it during different periods of a woman's life.

Department Vision:

The Department of Reproductive Health Nursing (Gynecology and Obstetrics Nursing) seeks to excel and lead in the field of women care during the different stages of life.

Activities and vacations of the department:

1. A closed-circuit television system was established to link all the department's laboratories with the runway for the educational scientific service.
2. llustrations and models were designed with the participation of students to facilitate the explanation of the lectures and practical applications, for example (birth chart model - box of family planning methods - a picture book for the scientific content of the course, fetal monitoring device).
3. Participation in the competition for the best laboratory (the best laboratory in the student field and civil research.
4. Models were cloned from some of the original models in the department's laboratories (cervical model - embryo skull model - female pelvis model - placenta of all kinds - arm for the installation of contraceptive methods) of the Student Excellence Project to reproduce models.
5. A database of scientific dissertations (Masters – PhD- Postdoctoral research) has been created.
6. A database of the sites of the faculty members and the assisting body on the educational platforms has been created (Google Escor - Knowledge Bank - Scientific Researcher Portal - Academic Mai)l.
7. The department's laboratories were provided with many tools for training students as a donation from faculty members and the assisting body to develop the educational process (such as: fetal pulse device - thermal reagents).
8. A scientific day took place on the sidelines of the International College conference under the title “Issues related to women's health” on Monday, 24/2/2020

Department Mission

We are looking forward to build management and leadership skills for undergraduates and postgraduates to improve health services in various health care fields by adopting academic standards for professional practice and scientific research for community services in a framework of transparency, objectivity, and fairness to prepare our students for the competitive needs of the labor market.

To achieve excellency in the field of management and leadership among the various national departments of nursing administration.

Mission:

We are looking to prepare qualified graduates by equipping them with the basis of scientific knowledge, working on improving the required skills in the field of critical care nursing and emergencies to provide preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative integrated nursing care. As well, following-up the health care insights in the community and responding to upcoming needs by preparing a distinct qualified graduate who has high skills to be able to compete in the labor market.

Also working to gain the trust of the beneficiaries of the students and faculty staff members in the performance of the department and the scientific searching quality level, and gaining the trust of the community by using the human resources of the department and searching possibilities in the field of critical care nursing and emergencies. We solve health problems associated with environmental aspects as an essential service for the overall development of the community in all its categories.

Department Vision

We seek to improve the health care and to respond to the needs of critical care and emergency departments in the hospitals and the community. The department also seeks to have effective and interactive role in the scientific and technical development of education in the field of critical care and emergencies nursing through distinct studios and training programs to stimulate the local and global academic standards to produce scientifically and professionally qualified graduates who are able to compete in the labor market. As well, the department seeks to develop research capability among its researchers to contribute effectively in solving society's health problems.

We provide health services to all segments of the society by providing health education for the individual, family, and community to preserve health and prevent disease spread by applying different levels of health care, as well as early detection of diseases and reducing complications, and also includes vocational and psychological preparation; In addition to, conducting scientific research based on urgent future global health needs.

The Department of Community Health Nursing - Faculty of Nursing - Assiut University: looks forward to preparing students capable of dealing with the family as one integrated unit, dealing with different age groups in society, reaching the highest level of efficiency in planning, implementing research plans and financing projects

The Department of Community Health Nursing - Faculty of Nursing - Assiut University: provides health services to all segments of society by providing health education to the individual, family , community to maintain health , prevent the spread of diseases by applying different levels of health care, as well as early detection of diseases and reducing complications. It also includes vocational and psychological rehabilitation. Conducts scientific research based on urgent and future global health needs.

Praise be to God, Lord of the World, and blessings and peace be upon the one who was sent as a mercy to the world, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions as a whole.

On behalf of my colleagues, members of the Pediatric Nursing Department at the College of Nursing, we welcome you, and we hope that this window will give you more information about our department and college.

Based on awareness of the importance of the nursing profession in society, and in fulfillment of the mission of the College of Nursing in graduating distinguished cadres who contribute to the process of development and construction in our beloved Egypt. The Pediatric Nursing Department is committed to using modern concepts of quality in academic work. It aims to provide graduates with practical and cognitive skills that help them to be excellent in the market working through the use of modern technologies and various learning resources, and research projects for  faculty members, and encouraging students to acquire new knowledge in basic sciences, applied and clinical sciences. The department has an expert group of faculty members seeking to develop the department to ensure its quality and the quality of its outputs. We aspire to contribute in being the best nursing college at the local, regional and global level.

Department's Mission

Preparing qualified postgraduate graduates equipped with the scientific knowledge and training in the skills required in the field of pediatric nursing to provide integrated nursing care for the child, whether preventive, curative or rehabilitative, and work on continuous enlightened development in educational process and follow up health care needs in the community and also work to gain community confidence through the use of the human faculty resources and research potential in pediatric nursing to solve health problems associated with children.

Our vision

Pediatric Nursing  Department seeks to improve the health care of the child (from birth to adolescence) and respond to the needs of the society and to be effective with the scientific and technical development in the field of pediatric nursing through specialized studying and training programs that keep pace with local and international academic standards to graduate a post graduate student to obtain Master's and doctoral degrees as well as scientific and professional qualifications capable of competing in the work market.

     The department's philosophy depends on the awareness and beliefs of the faculty members and their assistants in how to achieve the vision, mission and strategic goals of the department through developing their skills and preparing training programs to develop scientific and laboratory skills in the field of pediatric nursing

We look to equip our student and graduates with information, basic principles, and modern medical-surgical nursing to help them in their career and provision of comprehensive nursing care with high quality in different adult nursing specialties and providing continuous education opportunities for our graduates through programs in approved research plan besides providing technical and training consultations for different community institutions on national, regional, and global level to ensure sustainable development in society.
