Assiut University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University; issues a decision approving the commencement of work at the "Public Service Center at the Faculty of Law" as one of the centers and units with a special character, after its approval by the Ministry of Finance.

The Central Administration for Financial Expertise at the Ministry of Finance had approved the financial and administrative regulations of the Public Service Center at the Faculty of Law, established in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities No. 307 of 2018, and Assiut University Council issues a decision approving the commencement of work at the "Public Service Center at the Faculty of Law" as one of the centers and units with a special character.

Dr. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, indicated that the center aims to assist the university community and others in carrying out its scientific mission by contributing to the qualification and training of individuals through; preparing and implementing training courses for graduates and others in the field of work of the center, in addition to providing scientific consultations and specialized services in all productive fields that benefit the college and the surrounding community.

He also stressed that the Public Service Center will carry out many activities that serve the field of education and raise the level of services according to modern activities, and will work to strengthen cultural and scientific ties with other universities and scientific bodies on the Arab and international levels by holding seminars, conferences and workshops in the areas concerned with the center.

The Public Service Center is one of the centers and units with a special character that abound in the Faculty of Law as one of the special centers alongside the Arbitration Center, the Legal Studies Center and the Computer Center, and it is scheduled to form the center's board of directors during the coming period.

“Legal Research Skills in the Digital Environment” in a workshop at Assiut University next July

The Faculty of Law at Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, organizes a workshop for the faculty's researchers on: "Legal Research Skills in the Digital Environment", during the month of July. This comes under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, and prepared and presented by Dr. Hossam Mohamed El-Sayed Effendi, Head of the Criminal Law Department.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy confirmed that the workshop aims to: enhance scientific research skills among graduate students, in line with the digital age and its renewed horizons, and develop their skills in obtaining information from global digital libraries and repositories, based on the university's strategy aimed at enhancing digital culture, as a basic step to keep pace with modern technological developments.

For his part, Dr. Douib Hussein Saber indicated that the workshop will be lectured by Dr. Hossam Mohamed El-Sayed Effendi, Head of the Criminal Law Department, and will address several axes, the most important of which are: Introducing participants to the most important reliable websites to obtain foreign legislation and judicial rulings, and how to document them according to a sound scientific approach, with the aim of overcoming the difficulties that hinder conducting comparative legal studies.
