A delegation from the Faculty of Law - Assiut University participated; under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Human Rights and Studies at the University. The visit was attended by Dr. Moamer Rateb Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Ragab El-Kahlawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aleem, Assistant Professor in the Department of Legal History and Director of the English Language Law Program, Dr. Iyad Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Teaching Assistant in the Civil Law Department in the English Language Program, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aleem, Teaching Assistant in the Civil Law Department, Dr. Omar Ehab, Teaching Assistant in the History of Law Department, Dr. Ashraf Gaballah, Director of Youth Care at the Faculty, Mr. Hossam El-Hafnawy, Director of Public Relations at the Faculty, and a number of employees, with the participation of 18 male and female students. On Saturday, August 10, at the activities of the first Youth and Human Rights Forum in its first edition 2024 in Cairo, which was organized by the National Council for Human Rights, in cooperation with the European Union, under the title: “Together to enhance the role of youth in establishing the values ​​and concepts of human rights in the new republic.”

The forum was attended by Ambassador Moushira Khattab, Speaker of the Council, public bodies, heads of civil society organizations, entities, youth organizations, student unions, heads of youth committees from labor and professional unions, and youth secretaries of parties.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy pointed out the importance of Assiut University’s participation in this forum to enhance the role of youth in establishing values ​​and concepts of human rights in the new republic. The forum discussed the importance of economic and social rights for youth, the close relationship between the economy, human rights, and development, and the role of youth in promoting sustainable development, in addition to youth exchanging their views on opportunities and challenges.

Dr. Al-Minshawy praised the forum, appreciating the efforts of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in empowering youth, involving them in building the nation, establishing a culture of constructive dialogue, and creating conscious cadres capable of bearing responsibility and building the new republic, stressing his confidence in the ability of youth to advance their nation and bring it to its rightful place among the ranks of advanced countries.

The Faculty of Law - Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawy, President of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, organized a field visit for its students to the National Center for Social and Criminal Research in Cairo, accompanied by Dr. Moamer Rateb Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Ragab Al-Kahlawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aleem, Assistant Professor in the Department of Legal History and Director of the English Language Law Program, Dr. Iyad Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Teaching Assistant in the Civil Law Department in the English Language Program, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aleem, Teaching Assistant in the Civil Law Department, Dr. Omar Ehab, Teaching Assistant in the History of Law Department, Dr. Ashraf Gaballah, Director of Youth Care at the Faculty, Mr. Hossam Al-Hafnawi, Director of Public Relations at the Faculty, and a number of faculty employees with the participation of 18 male and female students.

The university delegation was received by Dr. Hala Ramadan, Director of the National Center for Social and Criminological Research, Counselor Mohamed Hussein, Legal Advisor to the Center and Vice President of the State Council, Dr. Enas El-Gafrawy, Professor of Chemistry at the Center and former Head of the Chemical and Biological Research Division, Dr. Mahmoud Bastami, Professor of Law and Head of the Crime and Criminal Policy Research Division, Dr. Nahed Badran, Psychology Lecturer, Dr. Amira Anwar, Assistant Law Lecturer, in addition to members of the Center’s Public Relations Committee headed by Dr. Ghada Riad, Economics Lecturer at the Center.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, stressed the importance of this visit in raising awareness among students and deepening their understanding of the social and criminal issues that Egyptian society suffers from, and enhancing scientific and research exchange between Assiut University and the National Center for Social and Criminal Research, in addition to opening new horizons for cooperation in various scientific fields between the two parties; in order to achieve maximum benefit for students and researchers.

The President of Assiut University appreciated the efforts made by the center and its endeavor to advance scientific research that addresses social issues related to all components of society and the problems suffered by Egyptian society, with the aim of establishing the necessary foundations for social policies on a sound scientific basis.

The visit program included a comprehensive introductory lecture about the center, its activities, and its main areas of work. The visit also included an introductory tour of the media observatory, the social observatory, in addition to the library of scientific periodicals and research, and the book library.

To accredit the Digital Transformation Center at the Faculty of Law by the Supreme Council of Universities; as an accredited center; for training and testing; to grant the Digital Transformation Basics Certificate, after meeting the standards and controls announced by the Supreme Council of Universities in this regard, and preparing digital transformation trainers for the Faculty of Law at the university; to provide trainees with digital transformation skills, noting that obtaining the Digital Transformation Certificate; is a basic condition for granting any scientific degree for postgraduate studies, according to the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities.
