"Targets of the National Strategic Objectives to Combat Corruption" in an educational seminar at the Faculty of Law - Assiut University

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the Faculty of Law organized, on Tuesday, November 19, an educational symposium entitled: “Targets of the National Strategic Objectives to Combat Corruption,” in the presence of Dr. Douib Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Moamer Rateb Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Mustafa Morsi, Director General of the General Administration of Information Systems and Digital Transformation, and Coordinator of the Implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy for Assiut University, as part of a series of symposia launched by the university to familiarize employees with the objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, stressed the efforts of the Egyptian state in combating corruption through a national strategy based on enhancing transparency and integrity in all sectors, and highlighting the main axes of the national strategy to combat corruption, explaining the university's keenness to play its role in spreading awareness and building cadres capable of combating corruption, given that combating corruption is not only the responsibility of the state, but a collective responsibility that requires the participation of all members of society.

In his speech, Dr. Douib Saber thanked the university leadership for their continuous support in holding awareness seminars on an ongoing basis, with the aim of educating members of the university community about the various forms and types of corruption, especially financial and administrative corruption, in addition to raising awareness about the harmful effects of the various forms of corruption, which negatively affect the progress, growth and prosperity of society, explaining that the Egyptian state is keen to combat corruption by launching the national strategy to combat corruption, hoping that the participants will listen carefully to the information of the seminar.

For his part, Dr. Moamer Ratib explained that the series of seminars comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to spread awareness of the objectives of the national strategy to combat corruption, and to identify its forms and apparent images, praising the existing cooperation to organize these seminars in the various colleges of the university, wishing the participants to benefit from the seminar’s topics and come out with fruitful information.

During the symposium, Dr. Mustafa Morsi discussed a number of topics, including: the definition of corruption, the reasons for the emergence of administrative corruption, its types, and the consequences thereof, the manifestations of administrative corruption, and methods of combating it to reduce this phenomenon, the bodies concerned with combating corruption, and learning about the national strategy for combating corruption. He also reviewed the three stages of the national strategy and explained its main objectives.

Vice Dean of the College of Law for Community Service and Environmental Development, 
and in the presence of Dr. Omar Salah, organized a reception for first-year students 
at the beginning of the new academic year.
The Dean of the College began by congratulating the students on the new academic year. 
He also urged them to make good use of time management, benefit as much as possible 
from academic courses, commit to theoretical and practical lectures during the educational 
stage, and actively participate in student activities, stressing the university administration’s 
continued keenness to provide educational services. Overcoming obstacles, solving problems, 
and providing all the tools and capabilities to help make the educational process successful 
within the university.
Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi also congratulated the new and old students on the occasion 
of the start of the new academic year, calling on the students to organize time 
and effort between the educational stage, participate in student activities, 
work to develop personal skills and the weight of skills, develop the spirit 
of cooperative work, and the necessity of displaying values ​​and good behavior 
in transactions. Daily.
For his part, Dr. Muammar Ratib stressed the college administration’s keenness 
to raise the level of educational services within the college and work to achieve 
the college’s vision and goals and graduate cadres capable of advancing 
and participating in building the new republic.
