La Universidad de Assiut lanza un concurso entre las facultades universitarias para seleccionar lo mejor para el nuevo año académico
In his visit to a number of units and campus facilities, in preparation for the start of the new academic year 2018/2019, Prof. Tarek El-Gammal, Assiut University President asserted that the university is keen on providing all requirements and possibilities to facilitate the educational process for its students. He added that this needs collaboration from all concerned administrations to carry out the necessary procedures to ensure a proper academic environment for its students and special concern will be given to disabled students in particular to help them achieve distinction.
In his meeting with a visiting delegate from KoreaTech University, Southern Korea, Prof. Tarek El-Gammal, Acting President of Assiut University, stated that the strategy of Assiut University aims at extending international cooperation for the purpose developing the scientific and academic environment for its students and graduates. El-Gammal added that the Korean delegate promised to widen the scope of cooperation during the third phase of the currently effective project in the field of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and aspires to encompass other Engineering fields.
Assiut University president, Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, announced the renewal of the ISO 9001 certificate gained by the Administrative System of Assiut University in Feb. 2016 as per the new 2015 version. This news was released after the visit of the granting authority to the university upon completion of the final external auditing. The visit took place last Dec. 2017. Dr. Gaeis assured that the administrative system of Assiut University is one of the most distinctive features of the university that ranks the Administrative System as the best among the Egyptian Universities.
Dr. Nouby M. Hasan, Dean of Assiut University Faculty of Engineering, announced the success of a team of students (ASME Assiut Section) in obtaining the International Accreditation from the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME). The Assiut team is the twelfth nationwide and the first in Upper Egypt to obtain this accreditation certificate. This activity aims at encouraging students to invent and research in the various engineering and technological fields. Besides, it reinforces students' skills to prepare them for the labor market through workshops, training projects, and international competitions.
In his visit to re-inaugurate the newly developed French Centre, Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President praised the effort and role played by the French Studies Centre in spreading the French culture and language. It is considered an important venue for students to practice all artistic and cultural activities organized by the centre in collaboration with Francophone authorities.
In his tour around the University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, assured the leading role of the Hospitals in providing integrated health services for more than two million patients from Upper Egyptian Provinces annually. This necessitates relentless effort from the University Administration to develop the services and make use of all available facilities to comply with the growing number of patients who seek medical care from all departments and specializations. Dr. Ahmed AL-Menshawy, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, assured that the visit of the University President included the Unit for MMR for diagnosis and treatment which is the first of its kind in Assiut University Hospitals with a cost of about Ten Million Egyptian Pounds.
