t and fruitful cooperation between Assiut University and Sphinx University , the activities of the Eighth International Conference of the Faculty of Nursing - Assiut University were launched, with the participation of a distinguished elite of nursing scientists and experts from Egyptian and Arab universities, during the period from 8-9 February 2026 .
The conference resulted in a set of important recommendations aimed at developing nursing education and enhancing the quality of professional practice and scientific research, most notably :
- Strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and health facilities to support innovation and excellence in nursing practice .
- Expanding the application of digital transformation and the use of simulation and artificial intelligence technologies in nursing education and training .
- Developing curricula to keep pace with changing health needs and the labor market .
- Supporting multidisciplinary education and preparing specialized nursing staff in modern fields .
Promoting applied scientific research and linking its results to clinical practice .
- To improve nursing practice by applying global standards and guidelines to ensure quality healthcare .
- Supporting sustainability and green transformation in health institutions and employing modern technology to serve the health sector .
The conference also provided a unique opportunity to publish the full scientific research in a special issue of the Faculty of Nursing Journal - Assiut University .
Professor Dr. Fatima Rushdi Muhammad, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, stated that the conference represents a new beginning to enhance scientific cooperation and exchange experiences between universities, support community participation, and encourage researchers to learn about the latest scientific developments, stressing that Assiut University is a leading scientific institution and an incubator for Egyptian public and private universities .
