Research Abstract
Background
Peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVCs) constitute a fundamental invasive tool in contemporary healthcare, with their application being one of the most prevalent clinical interventions, yet their use is frequently complicated by phlebitis, a preventable condition that increases patient discomfort, infection risk, and healthcare costs.
Aim
Evaluate the effect of I-DECIDED intervention on occurrence of Visual Phlebitis for patients with peripheral intravenous catheter at medical department.

Sample
The study enrolled 30 nurses from the Medical Department via convenience sampling and a purposive sample of 60 adult patients who needed for I.V catheter for long period of time.
Setting
Medical Department at Assiut University.
