Overview

We do our best to generate outstanding doctors in the field of vascular medicine and surgery to contribute to scientific research and develop the service provided to patients in Upper Egypt.

Department objectives:

1. Developing and diversifying educational resources to produce distinguished students.
2. Focusing on postgraduate studies program for master's and doctoral students, in order to raise the level of vascular surgery doctors inside and outside the university.

The Department of Medical Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine at Assiut University, is committed to teaching the principles of optimal use of drugs and proper treatment methods, which makes them competent doctors able to practice medical practice. The department also pledges to contribute to advancing scientific research in the field of medicine and providing community services such as therapeutic drug measurements for patients and the detection of narcotic drugs.

How the department of pediatric achieves the hospital's institutional capacity standards?

• Educating graduate students and trainees in various fields of pediatrics in accordance with national and international standards.
• Implementing, evaluating and monitoring professional, clinical and academic practices as defined in accordance with national and international standards.
• Facilitating teamwork for multidisciplinary teams caring for sick children and ways of communication between team members to ensure the quality and safety of medical care for sick children.
• Establishing and strengthening the clinical research and laboratory research unit in the basic sciences of pediatrics.

Overview

Microbiology is the study of unicellular and multicellular microscopic organisms; Immunology is the study of the immune system in a diversity of organisms. Microbiology and Immunology go hand in hand, as microbes that cause disease trigger an immune response and manipulate the immune system.

We are keen on improving the level of medical education at the student level, graduate students and continuing medical education to prepare a medical program that can be adopted at the national level.

Histology and Cell Biology department in the faculty of Medicine, Assiut university integrates with other basic departments to provide microscopic descriptive information related to the structure of the function of cells, tissues and organs for undergraduate students within the fields of medicine.

The department establishes a scientific background in histology and cell biology which enables postgraduate students to implement their knowledge and skills in future profession and in conducting scientific researches for solving the community problems.

The department provides excellent educational programs and checks the outputs of learning and is committed to:   

• Preparing the medical students to understand the basis of cell biology and functional ultra-structure.
• Preparing the medical students to understand the basic histological structure of different body tissues, organs and systems.
• Enabling the medical students to correlate between the histological structure and function of various tissues and organs.
• Promoting scientific research in ethical framework and develop the postgraduate students to follow the updating in the science of histology and cell biology.
