Assiut University's Faculty of Law is organizing a seminar to promote the role of the Egyptian Legislation Portal.

Assiut University, represented by its Faculty of Law, will hold a seminar on Sunday, February 22, 2026, entitled: "Promoting the Role of the Egyptian Legislation Portal at the Cabinet in Supporting Law Students." The seminar is being held in cooperation with the Information and Decision Support Center and sponsored by Al-Taamir Cement Company, a building materials manufacturing company. During the seminar, approximately 2,500 students from the Faculty will receive accounts on the Legal Portal to support their education and develop their legal research skills.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, the University President, emphasized that holding the seminar reflects the University's commitment to strengthening cooperation with state institutions and the industrial sector. He praised the important role of the Legal Portal in providing reliable legislative resources that contribute to preparing qualified legal professionals capable of keeping pace with legislative developments.

For his part, Dr. Dweib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the initiative represents a significant step in supporting law students academically and in research. He emphasized that providing students with electronic accounts allows them to access legislation and judicial rulings accurately and systematically, thus enhancing their academic and research capabilities.

Dr. Ragab Mohamed El-Sayed Kahlaoui, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, pointed out that the seminar is part of the Faculty's plan to develop the educational system and integrate modern digital tools into the academic process, contributing to raising students' efficiency and preparing them for the job market.

This event underscores the importance of partnerships between state institutions and the industrial sector in supporting university students and solidifying the concept of social responsibility in building and developing young legal professionals.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, received a delegation from the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet, headed by Counselor Ahmed Mahrous, Assistant Advisor to the Prime Minister and Head of the Center, at his office on Sunday morning, February 22. The meeting took place ahead of the seminar entitled: “Enhancing the Role of the Egyptian Legislation Portal at the Cabinet in Supporting Law Students.”

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Doueib Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the University President; Dr. Ragab Mohamed El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs; and Dr. Moamar Rateeb, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The delegation also included Mr. Tamer Abdel Hamid, Executive Director of the Legal Portal; Dr. Rania Lashin, Media and Marketing Consultant; Mr. Abu Al-Hamd Hamouda, Director of the Central Administration of the Al-Taamir Cement Factory in Assiut; and representatives from the Building Materials Industries Company – Al-Taamir Cement (BMIC).

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawi welcomed the delegation, expressing his appreciation for holding the seminar at the university. He noted that this exemplifies the integration between state institutions and universities, supported by BMIC, which contributes to developing the educational process and enhancing the capabilities of law students.

The university president emphasized that enabling students to use the Legal Portal for Egyptian legislation in an advanced manner is a crucial step towards developing their legal research and analysis skills. He pointed out that providing a comprehensive and up-to-date digital legislative database contributes to supporting the educational system and establishing a culture of scientific research based on accuracy, speed, and systematic linking between legislative texts and judicial rulings.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy commended the social role of Building Materials Industries Company – Al-Taamir Cement (BMIC), emphasizing that its support for this initiative reflects a clear commitment to its social responsibility and a belief in the importance of investing in youth awareness and equipping them with scientific and practical skills.

For his part, Advisor Ahmed Mahrous expressed his pleasure at visiting Assiut University, praising its academic standing and its pioneering role in preparing distinguished professionals in various fields. He affirmed the center's keenness to enhance cooperation with the university to support students and provide them with access to modern digital tools.

Professor Abu El-Hamd Hamouda also emphasized the company's commitment to continuing its support for educational and training initiatives that contribute to preparing students with modern knowledge tools, thus enhancing their readiness for the job market and bridging the gap between academic study and practical application.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Doueib Saber and Professor Abu El-Hamd Hamouda presented commemorative shields to Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy in appreciation of his ongoing support for educational activities and academic events, and his efforts in strengthening institutional partnerships that contribute to advancing the educational process.

In line with Assiut University's commitment to supporting the educational process and enhancing legal research tools for its students, and under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, the university president, the Faculty of Law organized an introductory seminar entitled: “Enhancing the Role of the Egyptian Legislation Portal at the Cabinet in Supporting Law Students.” The seminar was held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Hall 8 of the Administration Building.

The seminar was held in cooperation with the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet and Al-Taamir Cement Company (BMIC), the official sponsor of the Legal Portal. During the event, free accounts were granted to law students participating in the initiative, supporting the educational process and enriching their academic achievement.

The seminar was held under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Doueib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the University President; and Dr. Ragab Mohamed El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.

The event was attended by high-level leaders from the Information and Decision Support Center, who oversee the initiative to provide Assiut University Faculty of Law students with free accounts on the Egyptian Legislation Portal. These leaders included: Counselor Ahmed Mahrous, Assistant Advisor to the Prime Minister and Head of the Center; Mr. Tamer Abdel-Hamid, Executive Director of the Legal Portal; and Dr. Rania Lashin, Media and Marketing Advisor. Representatives of the initiative's sponsor also attended, including Mr. Abu El-Hamd Hamouda, Director of the Central Administration of El-Taameer Cement Factory – Assiut, representing Dr. Sayed Hussein, Chairman and Managing Director of Building Materials Industries Company (El-Taameer Cement), along with a number of the company's leaders.

Also in attendance were Dr. Abdel Fattah Bahij, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law in Assiut; Dr. Mo'ammar Rateeb, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law in Assiut for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Abdel-Radi, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research; a number of faculty members and staff; and a large group of students.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy emphasized that organizing the introductory seminar on enhancing the role of the legal portal for Egyptian legislation reflects the university's commitment to supporting its students, empowering them intellectually and technically, and setting them on the right path toward academic and professional excellence.

Dr. El-Menshawy explained that providing free accounts for law students on the legal portal represents an important step in enhancing legal research skills and bridging the gap between theoretical study and practical application. This is achieved by enabling students to access up-to-date legislation, judicial rulings, and accurate and reliable legal principles, thus enriching their academic achievement and preparing them effectively for the job market.

The university president noted that the initiative embodies a successful model of partnership between state institutions and the industrial sector within the framework of social responsibility. He emphasized the university's commitment to expanding cooperation with various entities to support digital transformation, enhance the educational process, and cultivate a cadre of young legal professionals capable of meeting challenges and actively contributing to national development.

Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla affirmed that the symposium reflects the importance of partnerships between state institutions and the industrial sector in supporting university students and solidifying the concept of social responsibility towards developing and qualifying young legal professionals. He added that the symposium aims to equip students with skills and expertise in various legal disciplines, urging them to utilize the free legal research and legislative portal services provided to them to support their education and enrich their academic achievement.

Dr. Dweib Hussein Saber explained that organizing the seminar aligns with the college's vision for continuous development and its commitment to equipping students with the latest knowledge and technological tools to help them excel. He emphasized that strengthening the role of the Egyptian Legislation Portal is a truly strategic step in supporting the educational process, as it serves as a robust academic platform providing accurate and reliable access to legislation, judicial rulings, and legal principles. He noted that providing portal accounts to approximately 2,500 students from the college places an advanced tool at their disposal that supports legal research, develops analytical skills, and prepares them for the job market with competence and capability.

For his part, Counselor Ahmed Mahrous affirmed that the seminar stems from a belief in the necessity of supporting law students and empowering them with modern research and knowledge tools, as well as providing accurate and reliable legislative sources that enhance their research and professional capabilities. He pointed out that providing outstanding students with free accounts serves as a motivating message to other students about the importance of commitment and diligence. He also expressed his gratitude to the sponsoring company, which sets a commendable example of social responsibility and constructive partnership.

Professor Abu Al-Hamd Hamouda, Director of the Central Administration of Al-Taamir Cement Factory in Assiut, affirmed that the partnership with Assiut University, a prestigious educational institution, reflects an ambitious vision for the future. Professor Tamer Abdel Hamid, Executive Director of the Legal Portal, presented an overview of the portal, explaining that it serves diverse groups, including decision-makers, companies, judges, lawyers, students, researchers, and the general public. The portal includes a comprehensive legal database, an intelligent search assistant, a digital legal library, an instant translation service for legal texts, a legislative relationships tree, daily updates of legislation, a digital case management system, and various training programs and events, including campaigns.
