Labor Market Needs Seminar at the Faculty of Computers and Information Faculty of Computers and Information Assiut University

1 The Faculty of Computers and Information at Assiut University organized a seminar on the needs of the labor market for students and graduates Assiut University, headed by Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, continues its service, educational and training role to qualify its students for the labor market. The Faculty of Computers and Information organized a seminar on Monday, November 18, on "Labor Market Needs", under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Alim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Taisir Hassan Abdel-Hamid, Dean of the College. Dr. Amjad Bahaa El-Din, Human Resources Management Consultant at the Arab Academy for Administrative, Financial and Banking Sciences, and Eng. Ayman Ayad, Director of the Information Technology Institute Branch, Assiut Branch, lectured during it. The seminar comes in light of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy's directives to familiarize students with the skills required to keep pace with the requirements and developments in the labor market, and the available opportunities that meet their ambitions, contribute to building a better future for them, and improve their skills, as they are future leaders and a fundamental pillar in society, noting that the university administration Keen to provide appropriate training opportunities for its students; to be ready to assume responsibility in various state institutions. For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Alim directed the students to make an effort, exploit opportunities, and invest time; in order to keep pace with the requirements and successive changes occurring in the labor market, noting that the symposium comes within the framework of the presidential initiative "Bidaya", which is based on developing and building the human being, and placing him in a decent position; which contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable development. Dr. Taisir Hassan Abdel Hamid explained: The college is keen to organize symposiums and training courses; that would enhance the capabilities of its students at the academic, training, and research levels; which contributes to developing their life and professional skills. Dr. Amjad Bahaa El-Din spoke during his lecture, entitled: "Change Management", about the meaning of organizational change, its goals, advantages, reasons for resisting change, and change at the level of individual and institutional performance. Eng. Ayman Ayad, during his lecture: "Training, its importance, and the skills required for the labor market"; pointed out the importance of training in developing the skills of young people, preparing them for the labor market, and how the student can achieve training and success, and the importance of training in achieving the will to change. The symposium was attended by; Dr. Dalia Nashat, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and a group of faculty members, assistant staff from various colleges, workers, students, and graduates.

Within the framework of the activities of (The President's Initiative for Human Development) held under the title "A New Beginning for Human Life" Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity Prof. Dr. Amr Othman, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity and Director General of the Drug Control and Treatment Fund Prof. Dr. Taisir Hassan Abdel Hamid, Dean of the College Prof. Dr. Khaled Fathy Hussein, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs Under the supervision of: Mr. Sayed Farhan, Director of the Student Care Department, and Ms. Mirhan Abbas, Head of Social Activities and the College Student Union Council, in cooperation with the Social Activities Department of the General Administration of Student Care, the College of Computers and Information organized on Tuesday 12/3/2024 "A Series of Awareness Seminars to Combat the Spread of Narcotic Substances Among Students", in which Dr. Nady Sayed, Advisor to the Drug Control and Treatment Fund at the Prime Minister's Office and former Head of Forensic Medicine in Assiut, and Dr. Samir Abdel Tawab, Director of the Tourism Promotion Authority in Assiut Governorate, discussed the role of the family in preventing drugs, as it represents the first line of defense to protect its children from drugs, through understanding the nature of the drug problem, realizing the methods of primary prevention and early detection, and knowing the nature of its role in treatment and rehabilitation in the event that one of its members falls into drug addiction. The manifestations indicating drug abuse, the risk factor, and the protective factors were explained.
 
 
 
 
 

Benha University invites all students of Egyptian universities and institutes to participate with their ideas in the Smart Education Hackathon 2025

For the fourth year .. Benha University launches the Smart Education Hackathon 2025 Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, the university announces the holding of the "Smart Education" Hackathon under the slogan "Artificial Intelligence Applications, Egypt's Digital Future" in February 2025, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which comes from the belief in the role of higher education and scientific research in supporting digital transformation as well as the constant pursuit of achieving the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030 by transforming towards a knowledge-based digital economy, and encouraging innovation, research and development by enhancing and motivating young programmers and owners of ideas and visions to present their smart ideas and software projects. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, indicated that the Smart Education Hackathon aims to find innovative solutions in various fields, namely: distance education, interactivity in education, flexible education tools, language learning platforms, transforming learning into a game, learner support systems, and data analysis for education. Al-Gizawy added that the winners of the hackathon will receive cash prizes totaling 140 thousand Egyptian pounds provided by Benha University; in 7 tracks, the first place will receive a prize worth 10,000 pounds, the second place 6,000 pounds, and the third place 4,000 pounds. Dr. Jihan Abdel Hadi, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, indicated that this is the fourth edition of the hackathon, as Benha University held the Smart Cities Hackathon in March 2022, the Smart Government Hackathon in February 2023, the Empowerment of People with Disabilities Hackathon in February 2024, and in 2025 Benha University will launch the Smart Education Hackathon. Dr. Shady Al-Mashhad, Executive Director of Information, added that registration will be open from Saturday, November 2, 2024 until December 31, 2024.
