The Dean of the College, Sayyed Hassan Abbas Mohamed Abdel Rahim, returned to the homeland after attending the Continental Conference for the Development of Veterinary Education in the African Continent, which lasted for three days from 5 to 7 July 2017 in Dakar, capital of the Republic of Senegal. , Which was held under the auspices of the Regional Office of Livestock in the African Union in partnership with the European Union. The sessions of the conference dealt with the development of a vision to develop the quality of veterinary education in the African continent as well as improving the quality of veterinary training and improving veterinary services and its impact on the social and economic situation in African countries , And discussed how to manage quality and obtain accreditation in the veterinary colleges in African universities as well as agree on the regulations taught in these universities and institutesThe African Association for Veterinary Education was also established. The conference was attended by Mr. Ahmed El Sawalhy, Director of the African Livestock Bureau and Director of Animal Resources of the Republic of Senegal, as well as a number of deans of the colleges and representatives of African countries, numbering more than 40 countries
