The president of Assiut University sends an awareness message to students to rationalize energy consumption within the ministry's campaign "Protect it .. light it."
As part of supporting the state's efforts to spread a culture of energy rationalization, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, sent an awareness message to Assiut University students, inviting them to adopt positive behaviors that contribute to conserving energy resources and promoting sustainability.
Dr. El-Minshawy pointed out that energy is a key element affecting various aspects of daily life, which requires dealing with it consciously and responsibly, pointing out that rationalizing electricity consumption is not limited to reducing expenses, but its impact extends to preserving the nation's resources, supporting sustainable development plans, and ensuring a better future for future generations.
The president of Assiut University explained that the real change starts from simple daily practices, such as turning off lights and unused devices, using energy-saving bulbs, disconnecting Chargers after use, as well as reducing the operation of consumer-intensive devices during peak times, stressing that these steps, despite their simplicity, make a big difference if they become public behavior.
Dr. El-Minshawy called on the university students to be ambassadors of awareness inside and outside the university campus, through spreading the culture of rationalizing consumption among their colleagues and families, reflecting the societal role of Assiut University students in supporting development issues.
