Assisment the Impact of University Technology Incubators on the Development of Entrepreneurial Projects

Research Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the contribution of university technology incubators in supporting entrepreneurs' projects. It belongs to the category of evaluative studies that seek to measure the extent of efforts and activities carried out by incubators in various fields to support entrepreneurial ventures, and to determine the level of success or failure of these projects and their impact on the beneficiaries.

The study was applied to a sample of entrepreneurs affiliated with the Entrepreneurship Center at Assiut University, as well as managers and staff of the university's technology incubators. A descriptive analytical approach was adopted, and data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to (112) participants representing incubator beneficiaries and staff members,The findings revealed that technology incubators play a significant role in providing technical, informational, and marketing support to entrepreneurs, helping them to overcome challenges related to funding, management, and marketing.

 The results also indicated that incubators contribute ing entrepreneurs' capacities and promoting successful start-ups that can compete in the local and regional markets.Furthermore, the study emphasized the importance of linking incubator projects with the needs of the local community and strengthening cooperation between universities, institutions, and civil society organizations.

The research concluded that technology incubators have a positive impact on supporting youth entrepreneurship and achieving economic and social development. Finally, the study proposed several practical recommendations to enhance the strategic role of university technology incubators in serving community development and fostering entrepreneurial culture among university students.
