First year students from the College of Science visit the Molecular Biology Research Unit

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. / Amr Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, Dean of the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies, and the organization and supervision of Prof. Dr. / Ahmed Abdel-Hadi Al-Kamel, Director of the Molecular Biology Research Unit, the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies received on Sunday morning 12/4/2022. A number of first year students, Faculty of Science, Biotechnology Program, Assiut University, on a scientific visit to the laboratories of the director of the Molecular Biology Research Unit in order to identify the devices used within the unit's laboratories. Where Dr. Wael Ali Fawaz, Director of the Unit Laboratories, explained and introduced the unit, and this visit comes within the framework of continuous cooperation between the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies and the Faculty of Science, Assiut University. The visit also aims to attract students and motivate them to join the Institute for Molecular Biology Research and Studies in the future

A symposium on rabies and how to prevent it

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El Menshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, Prof. Dr. Maha Kamel Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and  Prof. Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Dean of the Molecular Biology Research and Studies Institute.

The activities of the scientific symposium were launched under the title "Rabies Disease and How to Prevent It", which was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Institute today, on Monday 5/12/2022, in the presence of  Prof. Dr. Heba Attia Yassi, the Institute's Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, And Prof.  Dr. Alaa El-Din Hamed Sayed Ali, Vice-Dean of the Institute for Graduate Studies and Research, in which Prof. Dr. / Michael Nazmi Ajban, Supervisor of the Molecular Biology Department, and Prof. Dr. Nashwa Esmat Wali, Professor of Pet Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, lectured. Assiut University, Where the symposium included the definition of rabies, its symptoms, diagnosis, how the infection is transmitted, and ways to prevent it with some explanatory videos.

Many faculty and staff members participated in the symposium, as well as a group of university students.
