"Promoting Awareness: Understanding Treatments Influencing Drug Testing"

This will be on Sunday, February 11, 2024, God willing, and will be lectured by Prof. Dr. Heba Attia Yassi, the Institute’s Deputy for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

 The symposium will revolve around the basics of defining addiction, the extent of its spread, the types of narcotic substances and the reasons that lead to its occurrence, as well as the effect of treatments on drug test results, and the types of treatments that may lead to a positive test.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and Professor Dr. Amr Mohamed Abd El-Fattah, Dean of Molecular Biology Researches & Studies Institute, and within the framework of scientific and research cooperation between Assiut University and China Agricultural University in Beijing, the Molecular Biology Researches & Studies Institute hosts an elite group of college staff members from the Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding, College of Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University. The visit is scheduled to witness the holding of an international workshop on “Genetics and Genomics in Animal and Poultry Production,” which will include a set of scientific lectures on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, in the International Conference Hall at the Faculty of Agriculture.

Continuing the path of success at the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies at Assiut University

Praise be to God and his success, on Thursday, corresponding to 1/11/2024, the master’s thesis submitted by researcher Sahar Abdel Rahman Ahmed was defended to obtain a master’s degree in molecular biology, specializing in (molecular pathology), entitled:

" Experimental trials for reduction of vincristine sulfate neurotoxicity : Molecular approach "

Dean of the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies, Assiut University, inspects the work of the first semester examinations for graduate students 2023/2024.

Prof. Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Dean of the Institute, made an inspection tour to follow up on the smooth progress of the first semester exams 2023/2024 
in the committees on their first day, Wednesday 10/1/2024, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Hamed Sayed, 
Vice Dean of the Institute for Studies Affairs. Higher Education and Research, 
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Almolakb bel el-Khirshi, Head of the Applied Biotechnology Department at the Institute, 
Mrs. /Sherine Sayed Abdel Rahman, Secretary of the Institute, and the distinguished supervisors and observers of the committees and course professors.

His Excellency praised the committees’ equipment and the presence of professors in the examination halls to achieve discipline and respond to students’ questions.

Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Hamid Sayed, the Institute’s Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, was also keen to survey students’ opinions about the nature of the exams, the level of questions, and whether there are any problems to work on.
