Dean of Institute, Vice-Dean, and Heads of Departments meet with new students enrolled in the institute for the academic year 2020-2021

Professor Asmaa Abdel Nasser Hussein, Dean of Institute, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amr Abdel-Fattah, Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Bahaa El-Sayed Abdel-Fattah, Head of the Department of Applied Biotechnology, and Dr. Muhammad El-Khirshi, Supervisor of the Division of Biostatistics, met with new students enrolled in the institute on different academic degrees (Diploma-Master-PhD) From her part, Dr. Asmaa firstly welcomed the new students, wishing them continued success; she continued with an introductory speech about the institute, its various departments and specializations, and the future plans and implementation methods. Dr. Amr clarified in his speech the date of the beginning of the study and the regulations controlled the study of postgraduate students at the institute in terms of courses, credit hours, study schedules and supervisory committees for the student. In his speech, Dr. Bahaa emphasized the objectives of the Applied Biotechnology Department, the subspecialties it contains, and some of the department’s regulations. Dr. El-Khirshi also explained the objectives of the Division of Biostatistics and the academic courses taught in. At the end, the students got the opportunity to inquire about some important related topics.

Holding the second semester examinations at the institute

Prof. Dr. Asmaa Abdel Nasser Hussein, Dean of Institute, toured to inspect the second semester postgraduate examinations at the Institute, during which she was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hamdi El Aref, Head of the Department of Molecular Biology, Prof. Dr. Bahaa El-Din Abdel Fattah, Head of the Department of Applied Biotechnology, and Eng. Rehab Ewida, Secretary of Institute. The exams are conducted for about 48 students with Diplomas, Masters and PhD degrees in the fields of Molecular Biology, Applied Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, and Applied Biotechnology

Beginning of workshop activities on

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, and Prof. Dr.Ahmed Al-Minshawy, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Asmaa Abdel Nasser Hussein, Dean of Institute, the activities of the workshop on "Enzyme Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay (ELISA) Principals & Western blotting" were started at the institute. The workshop extends over a period of three days with the participation of a number of researchers from various faculties of the university and external. In the beginning, the Dean of the Institute gave an introductory lecture about the institute and the disciplines and departments it includes, which are followed by theoretical lectures.
