The Faculty of Law at Assiut University organizes a visit for its students to the Al-Taamir Cement Factory in Assiut, along with two group Iftar meals and an evening gathering.
Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, and on the sidelines of the seminar "Strengthening the Role of the Egyptian Legislation Portal at the Cabinet in Supporting Law Students," the Faculty of Law organized several events. These included a visit for its students to the Al-Taamir Cement Factory (BMIC) in Assiut, the official sponsor of the Legal Portal, and for Assiut University law students participating in the portal. The event also included two group Iftar meals and an evening gathering to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.
This initiative was overseen by Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Doueib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the University President; and Dr. Ragab El-Kahlawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.
The events were attended by leaders from the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet, including: Counselor Ahmed Mahrous, Assistant Advisor to the Prime Minister and Head of the Center; Mr. Tamer Abdel Hamid, Executive Director of the Legal Portal; and Dr. Rania Lashin, Media and Marketing Advisor.
Also present were Dr. Mo'amar Rateeb, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assiut University, for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Abdel Rady, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research; Dr. Ashraf Gaballah, Director of the Student Welfare Department at the Faculty; Mr. Hossam El-Hefnawy, Director of Public Relations at the Faculty of Law; and student Mostafa Marei, Acting President of the Faculty's Student Union and Coordinator of the Students for Egypt family at the Faculty.
Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy emphasized that the university is committed to bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application by providing its students with direct opportunities to observe successful models in government institutions and the industrial sector. This contributes to broadening their horizons and enhancing their understanding of the job market. He noted that organizing the field trip for law students, along with the accompanying Ramadan activities, embodies the university's vision of developing students academically, professionally, and humanely within a supportive university environment that fosters a sense of belonging and encourages positive interaction and active participation.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla affirmed that the university is dedicated to supporting its students and providing a comprehensive university environment through organizing diverse activities and events that contribute to their academic development and awareness, in addition to strengthening the sense of belonging and communication among members of the university community.
Dr. Dweib Hussein Saber explained that the university delegation and its guests toured the factory, accompanied by Mr. Abu Al-Hamd Hamouda, Director of the Central Administration of Al-Taamir Cement Factory in Assiut, representing Dr. Sayed Hussein, Chairman and Managing Director of Building Materials Industries Company (Al-Taamir Cement), and a number of the company's leaders. The purpose of the tour was to introduce 50 students from the college to the national projects in the governorate, the nature of work at the factory, and its various activities.
He added that a breakfast was held in the central restaurant, attended by a number of department heads, faculty members, college staff, and approximately 170 students. The university guests then proceeded to the Faculty of Law to join the students for an evening gathering in the student activities area. The gathering included Quranic recitation, religious chanting, singing, poetry, and some sports activities, all in a joyful and spiritual atmosphere that was well-received by all attendees.
