The report further highlighted the university’s achievement of winning two awards in the third edition of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects across the governorates of Assiut, New Valley, and Red Sea. The initiative aims to advance sustainable development within Egypt’s Vision 2030 and implement the National Climate Change Strategy 2050.
Supporting environmental efforts, Assiut University participated in launching the “Together… We Plant a Green Future” initiative, organized by CEMEX Egypt, Assiut Cement, which involved planting 700 Khaya trees along the Assiut–New Valley Road (Assiut International Airport Road), in support of national efforts to combat climate change and global warming.
