Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, Professor Mohamed Ahmed El-Adawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, held a meeting with the members of the Central Printing Press Board of Directors to review ongoing operations and discuss development plans. The meeting was attended by Mr. Shawky Saber, Secretary-General of the University, and Engineer Galal El-Din Hassan Hamed, Supervisor of the Central Printing Press.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Abdel Karim Mahmoud, Lecturer at the Faculty of Commerce; Dr. Sarah Tarek Kamel, Lecturer at the Faculty of Computers and Information; Mr. Amr Gad El-Mawla, General Director of the Internal Audit and Governance Department; and Mr. Mohamed Omar Hassan, Secretary of the Board.
Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy affirmed that the University is committed to developing its service and production units in a manner that enhances performance efficiency and achieves financial and administrative sustainability, noting that the Central Printing Press represents one of the key pillars supporting the University’s educational, research, and service missions.
He further added that the University is continuously working to modernize the operations of the Central Printing Press by equipping it with advanced machinery, enabling it to provide high-quality printing services that meet the needs of various university sectors, as well as strengthening its capacity to deliver competitive services to external clients with high efficiency and quality standards.
Professor Mohamed Ahmed El-Adawy stated that the Board approved the request submitted by Assiut National University to establish a cooperation protocol with Assiut University, aimed at benefiting from the services provided by the Central Printing Press, thereby supporting the educational and service activities of the national university.
He also directed the preparation of a comprehensive catalogue of services offered by the Central Printing Press and its dissemination to clients within and outside the University to enhance utilization of its capabilities and expand its service reach.
Professor El-Adawy added that the meeting addressed financial and administrative aspects regulating the press’s operations, in addition to reviewing the May operational and maintenance report. Several proposals were also discussed to further develop the operational system and increase production capacity, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality printing services in line with the highest standards.
It is worth noting that the Assiut University Printing Press provides services to all faculties, units, departments, and university hospitals, in addition to offering a range of services to external clients at competitive prices. Its products include examination booklets, conference materials, posters, brochures, invitations, greeting cards, as well as records, files, reports, receipts, tickets, and catering vouchers, all produced using the latest printing technologies and to the highest standards of quality and excellence.
