Assiut University Discusses Development of Administrative Housing Units and Upgrading Roads and Services

Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, Professor Mohamed Ahmed El-Adawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, chaired a meeting of the Administrative Housing Board on Wednesday, 3 June. The meeting addressed several issues related to the development of administrative housing units and the enhancement of services provided to residents.

Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy affirmed the University’s commitment to the continuous development of the administrative housing system through upgrading infrastructure and improving the quality of services and facilities provided to residents, in order to ensure a safe residential environment. He emphasized that these efforts align with the University’s commitment to promoting stability and providing adequate living conditions.

For his part, Professor Mohamed Ahmed El-Adawy noted that the Administrative Housing Board continuously monitors residents’ needs and regularly reviews their proposals, while also working on implementing development and maintenance plans to ensure the efficiency of residential units and the improvement of services provided.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of several previously discussed items aimed at developing administrative housing units and enhancing infrastructure, including main and internal roads within residential areas.

The Board also discussed a number of topics related to improving infrastructure and services within the administrative housing units, as well as proposals aimed at enhancing service quality and strengthening safety and organizational measures to ensure a more stable residential environment.

The meeting was attended by Professor Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Professor Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the University President; Professor Abu Bakr El-Tayeb, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Professor Samih Abdel-Salam, Financial Advisor to the University President; Professor Abdel-Wahab Mohamed Ali, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Agriculture and representative of the Eastern Housing Area; Mr. Ahmed Shawky, Head of the Central Administration for Legal Affairs; Engineer Mohamed Thabet, General Director of Engineering Affairs; and Mr. Mostafa Gaber, General Director of the Rest Houses Administration.
