Assiut University Participates in the Celebration of "Liberation of Sinai... The Epic of Land and Peace" at the Assiut Media Complex

Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, Dr. Mohamed Adawi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, participated in the activities of the celebration organized by the Assiut Media Complex entitled "The Liberation of Sinai... The Epic of Land and Peace."

The ceremony came within the framework of the directives of Ambassador Alaa Youssef, President of the State Information Service, and Major General Tamer Shams El-Din, Head of the Internal Media Sector, and under the supervision of Mr. Hamdi Said, Head of the Central Administration of North and Central Upper Egypt, and the follow-up of Ms. Abeer Jumaa, Director of the Assiut Media Department, and the management of the events was taken over by Ms. Fatima Ahmed, Media Specialist.

The activities were attended by Major General Mohamed Abdel Salam, security advisor and strategic expert at the Nasser Higher Military Academy, Sheikh Murtaja Abdel Raouf, Director General of the Assiut Al-Azhar Preaching Region, and His Eminence Pastor Nehemiah Abdullah, representative of the Orthodox Church in Assiut.

Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the anniversary of the liberation of Sinai represents a bright milestone in the history of the country, reflecting the ability of the Egyptian state to protect its capabilities and preserve its lands, pointing out the university's keenness to support and participate in national events that contribute to enhancing community awareness and highlighting the size of the sacrifices made by the people of the country to restore the land and preserve the identity.

Professor Mohamed Ahmed Adawy stressed that the liberation of Sinai was not just the restoration of land, but represented an integrated model for conflict management, as the Egyptian state succeeded in achieving a balance between military power and rational diplomacy, reflecting the solidity of the national will and unity of rank. He also reviewed a number of important axes, including: the results of the October War, the concept of just and unjust wars, the limits of gains and losses, the role of military power in the outbreak of wars, mechanisms for negotiation and settlement of disputes, as well as human security and the future development of Sinai.

For his part, Major General Mohamed Abdel Salam addressed the military dimensions of the liberation battle, pointing to the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces, which wrote the most wonderful images of sacrifice and redemption, stressing that what was achieved came as a result of careful strategic planning and a solid combat doctrine, with the importance of preserving the gains of security and stability.

In the same context, Sheikh Murtaja Abdul Raouf stressed that defending the homeland is a religious and moral duty, and that love of the land and belonging to it is at the heart of Islamic teachings, calling for instilling these values in the hearts of the youth, stressing that religion and the homeland are one message.

His Eminence Pastor Nehemiah Abdullah also stressed that throughout history, Egyptians have provided a unique model in the unity of the national fabric, and that the liberation of Sinai was the fruit of this cohesion, calling for the continuation of this spirit in building the future.

The celebration included a number of artistic and cultural paragraphs, where the choir of the Huda Shaarawy School presented national performances that expressed the heroics of the armed forces, in addition to poetry paragraphs and patriotic songs that received wide interaction from the attendees, in an atmosphere characterized by pride and pride.
