Unit of Measurement and Evaluation

Unit of Measurement and Evaluation

Measurement is the process by which we arrive at a quantitative representation of the extent to which a particular characteristic is present in an individual within a phenomenon. It is used to measure mental processes or psychological traits quantitatively. This may involve oral or written questions. Evaluation, on the other hand, is a systematic process based on scientific principles that aims to make an accurate and objective judgment about the various aspects of student learning. This is done to identify strengths and weaknesses in order to make appropriate supportive and remedial decisions.
