The opening ceremony of the new linear accelerator building and device on Sunday 22 December 2019   

Dr. Tarek El Gamal, President of Assiut University, opened today, Sunday, a new linear accelerated building and device (radiotherapy device) in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the South Egypt Cancer Institute at the university, which is a new hope for all oncology patients in Upper Egypt and a major qualitative shift in the radiotherapy service that Provided by the university for cancer patients.     

Assiut University restores hope in the hearts of oncology patients in Upper Egypt with the opening of a new building and accelerated linear device (radiotherapy device) at a total cost of 21 million pounds   

A ceremony honoring all those who participated and contributed to the construction and finishing of the building and the purchase of a linear accelerator
