He added that the workshop aims to enhance the capacities and competencies of faculty members and their assistants who serve on the Environmental Practices and Sustainability Committees across the University’s colleges, and to enable them to assess the current status of green spaces and apply proper scientific approaches to pest management.

Professor Mohamed Mostafa Hamad, General Coordinator of the team, pointed out that one of the key priorities of the action plan is to develop the capacities of teams responsible for maintaining green areas and to enhance their skills in dealing with pests and insects, through the University’s Pest Control Unit, in line with the team’s approved performance indicators.
