A Training Day to Promote a Culture of Quality at the Faculty of Education – As Part of the “New Beginning for Quality Education” Initiative ✨
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University; Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Hassan Hawil, Dean of the Faculty; and Professor Dr. Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Coordinator of the Initiative, the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Education, in cooperation with the University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, organized a training day for the faculty's students as part of the “New Beginning for Quality Education” initiative.
The training was presented by Professor Dr. Hanan El-Halawany, Head of the Department of Comparative Education and Director of the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit. The training day covered several important topics, most notably:
The concept of quality and its standards within educational institutions.
The student's role in supporting the quality system and participating in development.
Self-assessment mechanisms and continuous improvement plans.
Steps and requirements for academic accreditation.
Practical examples of best practices within the Faculty.
During his address, Professor Hassan Hawil emphasized the importance of instilling a culture of quality among students and the crucial role of student participation in the quality assurance system as key partners in the development process. He stressed the college's ongoing commitment to enhancing student awareness of accreditation standards and preparing them for active participation in improving the efficiency of the educational process.
The training session was attended by several faculty members, enriching the discussion and providing direct support to students, thus reinforcing the college's efforts to establish the values of quality and excellence.
