Dr. Ahmed Al-Manshaoui, President of Assiut University, affirmed the university's keenness to support and build the academic and research capabilities of faculty members and researchers through specialized training programs, , foremost among which is the university teacher training course, given its importance in developing scientific and research skills, promoting a culture of international publication, and commitment to scientific research integrity, thereby contributing to the preparation of academic cadres capable of keeping pace with the requirements of academic work.

 

In this context, Dr. Jamal Badr, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, participated in a scientific session entitled "How to Build Your Scientific Career? International Publication and Research Integrity: Its Importance for Researchers and Scientific Institutions," as part of the activities of the 76th edition of the University Teacher Preparation Course, organized by the Faculty of Education from February 1 to 4, 2026, and aimed at faculty assistants and researchers.

 

The session was attended by Dr. Hassan Mohamed Howail, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Chair of the course, Dr. Amani Mohamed Sharif, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development and Course Coordinator, along with a number of teaching assistants and researchers from Assiut University.

 

During the scientific session, Dr. Jamal Badr reviewed a number of topics related to building a researcher's scientific career, including publishing in international journals, scientific considerations to be taken into account before preparing research and submitting it for publication in journals affiliated with the Web of Science (WOS) databases, as well as mechanisms for supervising scientific theses, the strategic plan for supervision, the laws governing the supervision of scientific theses, the formation of thesis evaluation committees, and the role
